Did you know that you can use Shin Han Touch Alcohol Markers to color dry embossed aluminum foil?  That's what I did to make this card:

Snowhaven Stripes Again!

Glacier and Pacifica Again with an Atlantic Hearts Sketch

My previous blog post featured a new Close To My Heart color called Glacier paired with an older CTMH color called Pacifica.  I really like the way these two colors work together so I made a card for some golfing friends with the same colors using the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch #72.

Sketch Time at Sunday Stamps!

Welcome back to another Sunday Stamps Sketch challenge post!  You're going to love playing with this one:

My card features a future Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month for October 2014 called Home for the Holidays (pg.14 of the Annual Inspirations catalog) and a new CTMH color called Glacier.

The embossing folder is "Assorted Snowflakes" by Darice.  I applied color to the raised images with a Q-tip and my Glacier ink pad.  The background tags and card base are Pacifica CS.  The Happy Holidays greeting is from Holiday Tag Set.  The polar bear's scarf has some glitter gel (I used it at a friend's house and can't remember the name of it).

Confetti Wishes Colors for Color Dare #109

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge post!  Welcome also to new members of our Design Team:  Donna, Catherine, Peachy and Tina!  We have 6 bright and cheery Close To My Heart colors for you to design with this week: Canary, Thistle, Pacifica, Lagoon, Crystal Blue and Pear.  These colors can be found in the new Confetti Wishes paper pack.  You may substitute similar colors if you don't have these CTMH colors yet and you may combine them with neutrals such as black, white, greys and tans.  The challenge is to use ALL 6 of these colors in the same papercrafted creation!  Are you up to the challenge?

I could have taken out the Confetti Wishes paper and made a lovely card but I wanted to challenge myself to just use all of these colors.  The butterfly is from the "Love This"stamp set.  The card size fits a business sized envelope--4" x 8.75".

The butterflies were stamped with Black Ink and then "fussy cut" and adhered to the paper.  A Black Shin Han Touch Marker was used to color the butterfly bodies and antennae.

Black, White and a Pop of Color for Three Challenges

Black, White and a Pop of Color is the challenge at Stampin' Royalty this week.  The Colour Me challenge this week is Yellow with neutrals allowed.  I followed the Freshly Made Sketch to make this card.

My focal panel was made with a new embossing folder by Close To My Heart.  I embossed it in White Daisy and then again in Canary and carefully cut the flower out.  I was inspired to do this from this card I found on Pinterest.

Color Blocking with Shin Han Touch Alcohol Markers for Try Stampin' on Tuesday #182

The sketch for last week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday appealed to me so I decided to make a card using my new Shin Han Touch Alcohol Markers from Close To My Heart.  (I made a stencil by cutting 2-- 1" squares next to each other to place the three colors in a row).
