Paper Garden Silhouette for Friday Mashup #228

Here are two cards I made for this week's Friday Mashup challenge to create a background, use a silhouette or both.  I made it easy for myself by using the pretty "Brushed" paper from last year's Close to My Heart catalog.

Which do you like better?

Close to My Heart products used:
     Brushed paper (retired)
     Black CS
     Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Paper Garden stamp (no longer available--Sept. 2015 stamp of the month)
     Sincere Expressions stamp

Other
   Ribbon trims--unknown source

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Mojo Monday 248 and Another Color Dare #7

I've had some time to play today so I combined a wonderful sketch by Mojo Monday with the Color Dare #7 challenge of using secondary colors orange, green and purple. The Close to My Heart colors I've chosen are Petal, Pansy Purple, Juniper and Taffy. the stamp sets I've used are: 4 My Friend, A Blossom, Just for You and Love Life. The patterned paper is from Paper Garden a retired CTMH paper featuring the color Petal. Opaque adhesive gems make up the small flower centers.
I've had fun challenging myself to use these three colors together and follow this inspiring sketch also. Thanks for looking and thanks to those involved in hosting these challenges!

Napkin Rings from Toilet Paper Tubes--H2H Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Challenge

Here is a really simple way to create your own napkin rings. Just cut a strip of patterned paper and glue to 1/2 of a toilet paper tube. I used CTMH Paper Garden (retired) and Bonding Memories Glue.

You can check out what others have created to participate in this challenge here.

Have fun! Marie
