Woodland Wishes with Freshly Made Sketch #415

I finally got to use a stamp set I bought last year to make these cards following Freshly Made Sketch #415.

The above card uses Woodland Wishes stamp and thin cut dies (retired CTMH), Evergreen Ink, Evergreen Card Stock, Pomegranate Ink, Pomegranate Card Stock, Reindeer Crossing sentiment, Snowflakes Embossing Folder, Golden Rod Stickles and Recollections Antique Gold Shimmer paper.

There are three differences from the first card:  the background paper is White Daisy, the Reindeer Crossing sentiment is different and I used Christmas Red Stickles.  Which do you like better?

Here is the wonderful Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm entering these cards into the following challenges:
Cut it Up--Christmas with a Diecut
     Heart 2 Heart--Anything Goes--Holiday Edition
     Addicted to CAS--Tree

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Color Dare #372 Meets Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch #329

This lovely card came together very quickly following two wonderful challenge blogs.

My colors are from the left column of Color Dare #372's Tic-Tac-Toe board--Candy AppleEvergreen, and Gold.  I smooshed the ink colors onto an acrylic block, spritzed with water and used a brush to paint.  (The poinsettia had been embossed in black to make the colors stay separate.)

The poinsettia image is from Close to My Heart Traditional Holiday which is now retired.  The Happy Holidays greeting is from this month's Stamp of the Month called Reindeer Crossing.  The background panel was embossed with the Snowflakes embossing folder.  The stripe is Gold Shimmer Trim.  The flower center was enhanced with Golden Rod Stickles Glitter Gel.

Here is the fabulous Hand Stamped Sentiment sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
      Heart 2 Heart--Anything Goes--Holiday Edition
      Make My Monday--Anything Goes Christmas
     Aud Sentiments--Christmas/Winter with a Sentiment
     CAS on Friday--Christmas

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

More Cedar and Pine for December Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Betty Locco's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

I've been having fun with Close to My Heart's Cedar and Pine paper packet and the December Stamp of the Month Reindeer Crossing created several cards inspired by several sketch challenges.  My first card follows this week's Case This Sketch challenge.  I am also entering it into this week's Color My Heart Color Dare challenge.

My second card was inspired by the sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  I used the Dash of Joy stamp set to complete the card:

My final card follows the Stick it Down sketch.  The sparkle on the pine boughs and background dots were made with the Clear Shimmer Brush.  The pine cones were embellished with Golden Rod Stickles.

Here is another card that I posted yesterday using the Tuesday Morning Sketch.  (The gift image and holly leaves are from a recent Constant Campaign offering called Traditional Holiday.)

Which card do you like best?

Now it's time to head over to Debi Brile's blog --I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she has to share.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Sweet Girl Card with Freshly Made Sketch #414

There is a really interesting sketch at Freshly Made Sketches that really challenged me until I remembered that I own an old Rubbernecker stamp that reads vertically which I was able to use with this card.  I combined the image with a pretty patterned paper set called Sweet Girl (Close to My Heart 2018).

Here is the wonderful sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Just Us Girls--Wild Card Week
     Crafty Friends--Anything Goes
     Gem of a Challenge--Anything Goes

Cedar and Pine Christmas Card with Tuesday Morning Sketch #532

I've just started making my Christmas cards this year and often go to sketch challenges like Tuesday Morning Sketch #532 for inspiration.  This card was easy to create using Close to My Heart's Cedar and Pine paper and stamped images from CTMH Traditional Holdiay stamp set (recently retired).

Instead of using a bow above the bow as indicated in the sketch I substituted a holly leaf image. A 2" scalloped circle punch was used to create the bottom cutout area. I used Evergreen Ink to stamp the leaves on Evergreen Card Stock and then embellished it with Clear Shimmer Brush and Christmas Red Stickles for the berries.  Candy Apple Ink was used for the gift package and the bow was colored in with a Gold Metallic Marker.

Here is the fabulous Tuesday Morning Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Winter Wonderland--Anything Goes Christmas
Crafty Hazelnuts Patterned Paper Challenge--Anything Goes
     Sweet Stampin'--Christmas
