Hello Friend Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #456

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a large centered rectangular element with paper strips behind it.  This gave me the opportunity to use up some zip strips from a Close to My Heart Paper Pack called So Much Happy.  The stamp is several years old from Taylored Expressions.  Twinkling H2O paints were used inside the letters.

After some thought I decided to add a die cut embellishment in the top right corner to complete the card.  Which card do you like better?

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, January 23 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Please stop by our blog on Wednesday to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has to inspire you.

So Much Happy Cards with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #313

I'm still having fun using the Daisy floral paper from the Close to My Heart So Much Happy paper pack!  (You can see more Daisy cards here).  This time I used Cricut Design Space and the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch--#313

Which card do you like better?

I used a Cricut cut from Elegant Edges and cut it as a square.  Then I applied 4 ' wide double sided adhesive tape to the back side of the daisy pattern paper and then cut it in half on my paper cutter so that I could make two cards.  I didn't count on not being able to easily remove the adhesive from the cut out half circle edges so I added superfine glitter to cover up the glue.  The yellow flower centers were also glittered.  Other Close to My Heart supplies I used are:
Canary Card Stock, Seasons Mix-In paper, Carolina Card Stock, Sapphire Card Stock and retired Thin Cut Dies.  If you would like to replicate my scalloped edge cut you can find my Design Space cutting file here.

You can join in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge here:

I'm also entering these cards into the following challenges:
     Aud Sentiments Challenge--Birthday
     Moving Along With the Times--Floral
     Seize the Birthday--Option-Texture

So Much Happy Meets Case This Sketch #318

These cards made with the So Much Happy Paper pack from Close to My Heart were so quick to put together with Case This Sketch #318.  (This lovely paper pack will expire on April 30 to make way for new catalog items on May 1.)

I just love this daisy patterned paper so much I made a second card reversing the mat and background paper.

Which card do you like better?

The sentiment is from Butterfly Friendship (also retiring next week) and was stamped in Sapphire Ink.  The banner is a retired Thin Cut Die from CTMH.

Here is the fabulous sketch that inspired my cards:

Spring is here and this pretty floral patterned paper reminds me of that good news.  The lovely paper is from the Close to My Heart So Much Happy paper pack.  The sentiment is from the Love Blossoms set which is available only until March 31 stamped in Candy Apple on White Daisy Cardstock and Ballerina Cardstock.

Color Dare #333 Meets Sunday Sketch #200

There is a Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge Tic Tac Toe Color Board from the "So Much Happy" Paper pack this fortnight and I'm glad that I've had the opportunity to play along.

I chose the middle row of colors in making this card.
The greeting was stamped in Candy Apple Ink using the recently retired Card Captions stamp set and the frame behind it is Mint Card Stock.  The patterned paper in the left panel is "Feels Like Home" and the printed flowers were colored in with the Mint Shimmer Brush and Red Shimmer Brush.  (Notice the white spots reflecting the shine--it is much prettier in person).  I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder with White Daisy Card Stock to create the right panel.  The Charcoal mat also from the "Feels Like Home" paper pack.

My card layout was inspired by this fabulous Sunday Stamps sketch:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Crafty By Designs--Blooming Flowers
Try It On Tuesdays--Say it With Flowers
