Make the Cards Dry Embossing Challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday #548

The Simon Says Stamp Floral Fields Embossing Folder was used to create these two bright and cheerful cards.  This embossed piece had been laying on my craft desk for quite awhile and I decided to use it as a last minute entry into Make the Cards Challenge #50 to use Dry Embossing Challenge.  A Sundance Shimmer Brush was used to color the flower centers with matching Sundance Card Stock panels.  Sapphire Glitter Paper created the accents.

Which card do you like better?

In this first card Honey Bee Bitty Buzzwords Dies were used for the greeting.

In this second card Sentiments by Melissa Esplin Celebrate stamp was stamped in Sapphire Ink.  The bow was die cut from CTMH retired "Party Balloons".

The above card was based on the new sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday:

I'm also entering these cards into the following challenges:
     Simon Says Monday--Bright and Cheerful
     Heart 2 Heart--Hip, Hip Hooray!
Stamping Sensations March Challenge--Something for Spring

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

:) Marie

Color Bursts and Paper Garden Stamp for Tuesday Morning Sketch #619

I finally put this sparkly purple Color Burst panel to use in this birthday card.  The Paper Garden (retired CTMH) stamped image was white embossed and the die cut sentiment is from Honey Bee Bitty Buzzwords and Antique Gold Shimmer Paper.

I added a few 1/4" hole punched holes as extra accents.

My card layout was loosely based on this Tuesday Morning Sketch:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #433 with Dreamin' Paper

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features 3 long panels with a center rectangle and a circle element.  I chose to slice up an older Close to my Heart paper called Dreamin' in 3 parts because this pretty paper will also qualify for the current Color My Heart Color Dare #456 which is to use colors on the opposite side of the color wheel.

Besides the Dreamin' paper my card features other retired CTMH products such as Goldrush Card Stock and Pacifica Card Stock.  The Scalloped Circle Thin Cut Die was cut from Almond Card Stock and the sentiment was cut from scraps from a Holographic poster board from a previous project with Honey Bees "Bitty Buzzwords" dies.

Here is our fabulous sketch this week.  Our challenge ends Sunday evening, August 15. You can link up your creation here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love.

Layered Butterflies Thank You Cards

The graphic at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie inspired my card colors and shape (the pink thank you cookie resembles a butterfly to me.)  The Layered Butterfly Thin Cut Die is from Close to My Heart along with the pink and rose foil paper from the recently retired You Are Enough paper pack.  The Thanks sentiment is from Honey Bee Bitty Buzzwords.  The bottom card stock color is Sangria.

Here is the If You Give a Crafter a Cookie graphic that inspired my card:

I really liked my card design so I made another one in bluish green using a Pixie Sparkled panel with Glacier card stock on the bottom:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #427 with Vintage Seafoam Victorian Paper

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a split background with lots of circles.  I pulled out a very old Close to my Heart patterned paper called Seafoam Victorian Paper, some stitched circle dies, a butterfly die from You Are Enough and a new die from Honey Bee to make this card.

I used the following Close to my Heart Products: Layered Butterfly Thin Cut Dies, (retiring June 30), Scalloped Circle Thin Cut Die, Seafoam Victorian Paper (long ago retired), and Black Card Stock.  The sentiment was cut with a Honey Bee Bitty Buzzwords die.

Here is our fabulous sketch.  We can't wait to see what you can create following our sketch.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, July 4 and you can link up your creation here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy love.

Freshly Made Sketch #491 With You Are Enough Butterfly and Paper

You Are Enough is a special promotion from Close to My Heart that is retiring on June 30.  I've had many of these elements for months but am just now getting around to playing with them.  Freshly Made Sketch #491 was the inspiration for my card design.

The butterfly background was die cut from a select part (bottom right hand corner) of this paper pattern to use the rose gold foil part. The tiny sparkles were also cut from the rose gold part.  The Hello diecut was cut with a Honey Bee Set called "Bitty Buzzwords".

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layout:
