Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Krista Hershberger's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

I have two cards to share with you that started with the same great sketch from the current Stella Says Sketch Challenge using the May Stamp of the Month "To My Bestie".  The images were colored in with Marvy watercolor pencils.

The above card uses the new Craft On striped paper and Zip Strip, Bluebird Card Stock, Lilac Card Stock, and Black Shimmer Trim.

This card uses the recently retired So Much Happy striped paper and Zip Strip, Thistle Card Stock, Canary Card Stock and Purple Shimmer Trim.

Which card do you like better?

Here is the fabulous Stella Says Sketch that inspired  my card layout:

The versatile To My Bestie stamp set is only available during the month of May and can be purchased for just $5 with a qualifying $50 purchase here.

Use Your Stash "Patterned Paper" Blog Hop

It's time for our monthly Use Your Stash Blog Hop where we share what we've made using older product.  The theme for this month is "Patterned Paper Addict" and it was hard for me to choose what lovely paper I wanted to use.  If you are coming from Casandra Bennett's blog you are on the right track.  (If you get "lost" along the way you can check Wendy Kessler's blog for a list of all the participants).

My cards feature the beautiful "Brushed" paper pack which was retired last year. I combined it with some older "Tulip" red cardstock, Black cardstock, red or black shimmer trim and some new stamps that I really love called "Stamps of Approval" which is available in the new CTMH Seasonal Expressions catalog.  I made a group of cards to keep available to use or perhaps give as a gift to someone else.  I used Design Space to create the scalloped borders. The label mats were cut using the Artistry cartridge.

Which card do you like the best?

Use Something Recycled for Black Tie Friday #30

After a long break Black Tie Friday Challenge blog is back!  Hooray!  My patterned paper on the front of this card is actually the inside of a security envelope to meet the challenge requirement of using something recycled.  The stamps are from  Close To My Heart--Happy Autumn and Say it in Style (retired) and were stamped with Gypsy ink.  The mat is Outdoor Denim.  The vertical strip is Gypsy CS with a strip of Black Shimmer Trim (black is optional this week).

Here is a photo of the recycled envelope I used:
