Nested Hexagons with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #501

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features 5 nested elements along the right edge with a 2 part sentiment with 3 small embellishments.  I didn't have scalloped circle dies (and didn't want to pull out my cricut) so I used nesting hexagon dies with a Craft Smith paper pad called "Ocean Blues".  A holographic foil was used as the shadow for the birthday script.  The birthday die cut and shadow are from Honey Bee and the stamped "Happy" is retired Close to my Heart Card Captions.

This second card uses the lightest color as background instead of white.  Which card do you like better?

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, December 4 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Please stop by our blog on Wednesday to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has to inspire you.

I’m also entering this card into the following challenges:

Dream Valley Challenge #283--Lots of Layers

     AAA Birthday #43--Monochrome

     Sweet Stampin' Challenge--Birthday

Seize the Birthday #252--Option--Case a designer

Birthday Fishes Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #500

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  Can you believe we have offered 500 different sketches?  Many thanks to Michelle Stewart and Brandi Robinson who started this challenge blog so many years ago!

This week our sketch features a matted slim line card with 3 torn edged sections and 3-4 embellishments.  I started with the background paper from a Recollections pad called "Ink Splatters" as it reminded me of water.  The fishy items came from a retired Close to My Heart stamp of the month (April 2020) called "O-fish-ally Awesome".  Liquid Glass was applied to some of the bubbles for a dimensional effect and Spectrum Noir Metallic Markers were used to color the fish and crab hat.

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, November 27 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Toadally Awesome Meets Paradise Palms Dies with Freshly Made Sketch #562

I had some time today to pull out some stamps and dies that I hadn't used yet.  The (Stampin' Up) Paradise Palm tree and grass and sentiment from (Close to My Heart) Toadally Awesome make the 2 horizontal and 1 vertical element as in the Freshly Made Sketch #562.  Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers (Light Green Blend, Jade Green Shades and Magenta Blend) Shimmer Brushes (Raspberry, Short Bread and Black) and Nuvo Honey Gold Glitter Drops were used to color the elements.

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layout:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #499

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a split panel background with a rectangular sentiment panel and bottom corner embellishment.  (Since my gold embossed sentiment was so large and it is a masculine card I omitted the embellishment).  The paper background is older from Close to my Heart called "No Worries" with Lagoon center panel bordered with gold holographic ribbon.  The sentiment is from CTMH last month's Stamp of the Month called "Blessings of the First Noel".

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, November 20 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love.
