Three Paneled Floral Birthday Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch # 631

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a horizontal layout with 3 panels, a centered focal image with a sentiment banner.  My card making process started with looking through my stash for diagonally striped paper which was found in Close to my Heart's Chelsea Garden Paper Pack. Then I figured out the math for the paper sizes and mats. (4.1/4" x 5.5" card, mat layer of 4" x 51/4", 2 panels of 1.1/4" x 3 5/8", center panel of 2" x 3 5/8" mat and 1.75" x 3 3/8" panel) The floral image i "s from CTMH "Botanical Shadows" which I carefully inked with Honey Butter and Julep inks.  The sentiment is from CTMH "From Me to You" stamped in Mist ink.

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, June 8 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Slimline Birthday Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #619

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a striped horizontal layout with a large sentiment banner and an overlapping embellishment.  My cardmaking process began by going through my paper stash and finding diagonally striped paper for my base. The striped paper came from Close to my Heart's Chelsea Gardens.  I used Journey and Glacier card stocks to complete the color coordination.  The sentiment was cut with a CTMH Thin Cut Die called Happy Birthday from Scrapbook.com's Holographic Mirror Paper.  The cute bird accent is from a Crafter's Square (Dollar Tree) Puffy Sticker set.

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, March 9 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Chelsea Gardens Mini Calendar With Design Space File

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Debi Brile's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

The holidays have been a very enjoyable and busy time!  I've been creating many things and now able to share them on my blog.  One of the gifts that I gave to all my family members and some friends is a mini desktop calendar that I created in Design Space with my Cricut Explore machine.

The beautiful background paper is the new Chelsea Gardens paper from Close to My Heart with the charcoal dotted stripe from the Basics Fundamental Paper Pack.

Here is another version using Bashful Glitter Paper and the same Basics paper.

I purchased the mini calendars from Taylored Expressions.  (You could also print out a calendar page, cut it out and staple the top edges to the easel frame.) The greeting was written with a Cricut pen by the Explore machine.  Here is my Design Space file if you would like to try to make one.

Now it's time to hop on over to Michelle Loncar's blog. I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she shares.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Just Us Girls--Anything Goes
     Cut It Up--Calendars
     As You Like It--Anything Goes
     Crafting by Designs--Anything Goes
     Simon Says Stamp--Something New (Paper)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
