Thank You Card with Paper Players Sketch #443

Today's post brings a colorful card using the current Paper Players Sketch.  The plaid panel features Close to My Heart Into the Wild paper.  The flower stamps are from the recently retired You Got This Cardmaking workshop.  As I'm trying to use up my stash the most of the products used are retired Close to My Heart.

The background is Honey cardstock .  The flowers were stamped in Espresso Ink on Autumn Terracotta cardstock.  Then I tapped the flowers on to Versamark Ink and used Polysparkle Tinsel clear embossing powder to give it the shimmer effect.  The sentiment is from A Thousand Thanks.

Here is the fabulous Paper Players sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
        The Paper Shelter--Flower Power
        The Crafty Addicts--Anything Goes
        Watercooler Wednesday--Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Hello Lovely Thank You Card with Mojo Monday Sketch #487 and Blog Candy Alert

Have you ever witnessed a total stranger doing something remarkably kind?  This happened to me the other evening when I was out to dinner with my elderly friend Loretta.  Loretta saw a woman who needed some help getting out of her booth seat and went over to assist.  When it was time to get our check the waiter came over and said that there was a woman and child who were sitting in the back of the restaurant who had paid our check.  He showed us the receipt which said "Paid in full.  Thank you for helping others."  The woman and child had already left so we could not personally thank her.  However her name was on the credit card receipt and this lovely card will be mailed to her.

Here is a closeup of the sparkly embossing powder that I used on the sentiment and small heart:

Embossed Embossing and Antique Element for Friday Mashup #199

This is my last post as February 2015 Friday Mashup Guest Designer and it was the most challenging for me.  The technique (Embossed Embossing) was easy but I really had trouble coming up with an "Antique" element until I remembered that the upcoming Close to My Heart April Stamp of the Month featured an old typewriter with numerous greetings to go on the page.  The typewriter would not have been considered an antique when I was growing up but it is now! (Some of my readers may never have seen a typewriter at all!)

Close to My Heart products used:
     Black CS
     Black Ink
Typed Note stamp (available April 2015)
     Vineyard Berry CS (retired)
     Polysparkle Tinsel embossing powder (retired)
     3D Foam Tape

Other products used:
     Silver Shimmer CS by Recollections
     Sizzix embossing folder

This week's Friday Mashup challenge is to
      - Create a project using an Antique Element OR
      -  Create a project using Embossed Embossing technique OR
      -  "Mash it Up" and do both!

We hope you can join us in this fun challenge!  You have until Wednesday evening March 4 to link up your project.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Fantabulous Cricut #95 Label it!

I love all the things you can do with Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cricut cartridge! This week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday is to use a label on your card. There are so many that I could choose from from this fantastic cartridge! I decided to also make a fun shaped card--scalloped circle--so from the Art Philosophy cartridge.

Cricut cuts I used: Scalloped Circle card feature from page 31 at 4.25"; Circle #2 from page 31 at 3.75"; Shape 8 from page 47 at 2.5"; Decorative layer from page 47 also at 2.5". I used CTMH Wonderland paper, white daisy paper, strip of Twilight paper, Twilight ink, versamark ink and clear embossing powder. The greeting is from CTMH Say it in Style--a very versatile set. Thanks for stopping by!

My Rock the Block Challenge--Day 6--Sympathy

I'm back to using the corner stamp today--my favorite stamp of the Rock the Block set which can be found here. The CS colors are Garden Green and Twilight. I used Twilight ink to stamp the corner floral stamp and the greeting. Next I stamped over both images with Versamark ink and then embossed with CTMH Polysparkle Clear embossing powder (retired). I carefully cut out the corner floral image and used foam tape to raise it up. Licorice adhesive gems (CTMH) were placed on the flower centers. The greeting is from B1369 Rosy Regards also from CTMH.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I still have lots of great ideas of how to use this set!
