Atlantic Hearts Sketch #235

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  This birthday card is for a dear friend of mine who loves birds.  I chose to use the Bloom cricut cartridge (part of Access subscription) and Creative Cards cartridge to create this card.  If you would like to replicate my card you can use my Design Space file here.

The colors from background to foreground are from Close to My Heart:  Pomegranate, New England Ivy, Colonial White and Goldrush for the flower centers which was brushed with the Gold Shimmer Brush.  The sentiment is from a retired stamp set called "Just a Number" stamped in Pomegranate ink.  The birdcage was cut from a metallic take out container lid because I didn't have any silver metallic cardstock.

Are you ready to see what you can do with this sketch?  You have until Sunday evening, October 29 to share your creation with us
here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs.  Be sure to check at the AHSC blog on Wednesday to see all the fabulous Design Team creations.

Color Dare #268 Meets Sketch Saturday #485

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog post!  This fortnight we are challenging you to choose 1 pink (Blossom, Bashful or Pixie) and use it with all and only Pebble, Pewter, Black and White Daisy.

The background layer is Pewter and the lighter shade of grey is Pebble which was stamped with the Shells and Stars stamp with black ink.   Pixie is the pink I chose to use.  The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Bird set.  Black Shimmer Trim and Silver Shimmer Trim (and a small heart punch) were used to accent the card.

My card design was inspired by this wonderful Sketch Saturday #485 sketch:

Color Dare #264 With Sketch Saturday #278

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog post!  This week we are challenging you to use all and only the following Close to My Heart colors:  Crystal Blue, Sapphire, Pacifica, Black and White Daisy.  Of course, if you don't have these exact CTMH colors yet, you may substitute similar colors so you can still play along.

Shades of blue are my favorite colors and I was really excited to finally use this beautiful Thoughtful Bird set in creating this card.  The first stamped layer is Crystal Blue, the second layer is second generation Pacifica and the top layer is Sapphire.

From top to bottom the background panel uses Crystal Blue card stock, Sapphire CS and White Shimmer Trim.  The focal panel mat is Black.

Below is the Color Dare Challenge #264 graphic.  Our challenge is open for two weeks (ending Thursday evening October 19) so you'll have plenty of time to create something.  We award 4 winners badges for each challenge and have a monthly randow draw for prizes donated by the Design Team.  Just click on the color palette to get to see what the rest of the Design Team has to inspire you:

No automatic alt text available.

We can't wait to see what you create using these fabulous colors!

My creative process usually involves finding a "sketch" to start from.  This week the challenge at Sketch Saturday is to pick a challenge from #215--482.  I chose #278 as the inspiration for my card.

I'm also entering the following challenges:
     Use Your Stuff--the Blues
