Large Birthday Sentiment with Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #633

These two cards came together very quickly following Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #633!  The sparkly papers are from Noble Peacock DSP (retired Stampin' Up) and the big sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp "Best Year Yet".  The first card was embossed with "Cobalt Tapestry" from Personal Stamp Exchange--can you see the tiny flecks of gold in it?  The second card was stamped with Versamark, then "Uptown" ink by Catherine Pooler and then sprinkled with Polysparkle Clear Tinsel Embossing Powder (retired from Close to my Heart.)

Which card do you like better?

Here is the fabulous Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch that inspired my card layout:

Masculine Noble Peacock Papers with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #474

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a 3 vertical striped background over a mat with a central oval focal embellishment and embellishments.  I wanted to make a masculine card so I chose the embellishments to be stars not flowers and the bold colors of the Noble Peacock papers (Stampin' Up several years ago).  The gold mat was a recycled  envelope liner!

This second photo was shot from a different angle so that you can see how sparkly this paper is.

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, May29 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Please stop by our blog on Wednesday to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has to inspire you.
