Alcohol Inked Card with Seize the Birthday Sketch #210

 Seize the Birthday has a wonderful sketch as an "option" for their challenge this week and I found some time to play along.  Last week I was playing with alcohol inks and made several panels which you can find hereLagoon Card Stock, Balloon Animals greeting, Lagoon ink, Wood Hearts and Lagoon Shimmer Brush were used to accent the pretty alcohol inked panel. Stitched Rectangle Frame Thin Cut Dies were used to frame the border and focal panel.

Humorous Belated Birthday Card with CAS Colours and Sketch #412

It's fun to use up some older paper and trim to make an elegant birthday card for a beautiful person who didn't get her birthday card on time.

Playing with Alcohol Inks and Tuesday Morning Sketch #498

Although I've been "collecting" alcohol inks for quite awhile I finally took them out to play with the other evening.  Here is the first card I've made with one of these beautiful panels following the Tuesday Morning Sketch #598.  The background mats are Peacock and Lagoon card stocks and the greeting is from "Winged Masterpiece" and stamped in Versamark Ink, Lagoon ink and Polysparkle Tinsel embossing powder.

Wedding Card with Fusion Card Challenge Sketch

 Once I decided on which Congratulations stamp to use this card came together very quickly thanks to following the Fusion sketch!

There is a lot of sparkle to this card with Gold Foil Card Stock, Black Ore paper and Gold Embossing powder.  An Embossing Pen was used to frame to oval for the addition of more gold embossing powder. The heart patterned paper is from I Heart Us and the sentiment is from "Happy Couple"--both retired from Close to my Heart.

St. Patrick's Day Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #413

 Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week we invite you to try our sketch that features a top and bottom border and a large central sentiment.  My card was made several weeks ago with Cricut cuts and very old D.O.T.S. (changed name to Close to my Heart in 1996) stamp and Christmas Green paper in Clover card stock, Mint Card stock and Clover ink.

Bloom With Grace Masculine Card with Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #497

 A new Wood Grain paper pack has been sitting in my stash for quite awhile so I decided to use it in cardmaking today.  I combined it with a sunflower patterned paper called "Bloom with Grace". The sparkly copper accents are Copper Ore paper. The sentiment was stamped in Espresso ink and came from the December Stamp of the Month called Happiness Never Grows Old.  Try Stampin' on Tuesday's sketch #497 was the foundation for this card.

A Big Thank You for Try Stampin' on Tuesday #497

 Here is a really quick card I made following Try Stampin' on Tuesday's challenge to use a large sentiment or to use a sketch.  The large die cut called A Big Thank You was cut from Sapphire Card Stock and glued on top of Brushed patterned paper .  Diamond Stickles was applied to the top of the die cut to complete the card.

Several family members love cats so I used the TGIF Sketch to feature one.  The cat was colored to resemble my old cat.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #412 with Eat, Play, Love Paper

 Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week we have a horizontally divided sketch with a large central focal element to spark your creativity.  I used my favorite Thank You Thin Cut die with Gold Metallic paper and Candy Apple Card Stock and a couple of Heart dies in Glacier turned sideways to resemble the bow on the sketch.  The Eat, Play, Love paper is from Close to my Heart.

St. Patrick's Day Cards with Freshly Made Sketch #476

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!  Here are a couple of cards I made following this week's Freshly Made Sketch #476. The first card used a Cricut cut and the second card used some very old (D.O.T.S./CTMH wooden stamps from the late 1990's).  The paper colors are Clover and Mint and several Spectrum Noir markers (Gold Metallic, Alpine Green, Light Green Blend, Orange Blend, Fair Skin Blend) were used.

Howdy Neighbors Congrats Card with Stella Says Sketch #905

 One of my best friends just got a new job so it was a perfect opportunity to create a fun card for her.  Her favorite color is pink so I used Flamingo ink with Flamingo Card Stock with Black accents.  The pink plaid paper came from Blue Skies paper pack. The stamps came from Howdy Neighbors stamp set.  The bold "congrats" sentiment was embossed by inking in Versamark and Black ink before applying Clear Embossing Powder.

Anniversary Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #411

 Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week we have a centered heart with a stripe behind it to spark your creativity.  We look forward to seeing how you can interpret this fabulous sketch!  I just received some new stamps from Close to my Heart containing the "Heart Full of Love" set which is featured in my card below.



The background papers are from a retired Mix-In paper packet and Oh My Happy paper packet.  The sentiment is from retired "Say it in Style" and the ink and Cardstock colors are Candy Apple.

Sparkly Birthday Card with Freshly Made Sketch #475

This quick birthday card was made for my niece who loves the color blue and anything sparkly.  The patterned paper is called Winter Wonderland by Best Creation Inc. and had been in my paper stash for quite awhile.  The panels were cut 1.5" x 3.75".  The background paper is Glacier by Close to my Heart. The glittery white diecuts (retired Stitched Heart and Happy Birthday also from CTMH) were cut into Glitter Adhesive Foam by Creatology.
