Happy Times Blog Hop

Welcome to our Happy Times Blog Hop!  We will be featuring  Close to My Heart's May National Scrapbooking promotion called "Happy Times" a set of 12 gorgeous papers.  If you have come here from Jean McNulty's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog:  http://ifyoublingit.blogspot.com/p/stamp-of-month-blog-hop-list.html

I needed to make a masculine birthday card so I pulled out the light gray woodgrain paper, gold and white foiled paper and a Green Ombre paper to pull together this card.

     Happy Times Paper
     Artistry cricut cartridge
     Whisper CS
     Peacock CS
Warm Grey Shin Han Touch Marker (to draw another line to make the
planks smaller in the woodgrain paper)
      3D Foam Tape

I followed the Paper Play Sketches 007 to create my card:

Now "Hop" on over to Lauren Moore's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, Happy Times Paper and/or stamp set is only available until May 30!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this Happy Times paper pack for FREE!

Here is another card I made with Happy Times Paper Pack for the current Color My Heart Color Dare challenge featuring Happy Times Paper.

Sunday Stamps #118 Meets Just Us Girls #327 and Inkspirational Challenges

The excessive snow this past weekend enabled me to explore several card challenges I probably wouldn't have had time to pursue.  My son is in the Navy and deployed right now so he will be receiving this card at some point.  My card combines elements from the following challenges: Sunday Stamps sketch #118, Just Us Girls #327 include an anchor challenge and Inkspirational Challenge to use a previous color scheme--#10 Shades of Green for me.

Here is a closeup of the anchor cut out of CTMH Sapphire paper and then embossed with Polysparkle Clear embossing powder to give it a sparkle.

Close to My Heart products used:
     White Daisy CS
     Peacock CS
     Glacier CS
     Sapphire CS
Artistry cartridge (Anchor cut and frame)
     Scalloped embossing folder
     3D Foam Tape
     Polysparkle Clear embossing powder (retired)

Other products:
Paper Lace 2 cartridge (Thinking of you cut)

Here are the linked challenge graphics in case you want to join in the fun too!:

Personalized Birthday Gift Cards for Joyful Hearts Blog Hop

It's an exciting time to be a Close to My Heart consultant and be able to share some wonderful new products from the new Annual Inspirations catalog!  Joyful Stars is a group of CTMH consultants who share in a monthly blog hop.  If you are coming from Crystal Davis' blog you are on the right track.  (If you get "lost" along the way visit Joyce's blog for the complete lineup.)

My twin nieces turned 14 last week so I made them similar cards in their favorite colors.  I used the Artiste cartridge to make the basic gift card holders and the new Artistry cartridge for the Happy Birthday decoration. I programmed my Cricut Explore to draw the Artistry Happy Birthday image instead of cutting it.  The names were written with the Art Philosophy font and then colored in with markers.

Here is what the gift card looks like inside:

     Pixie CS
     Pixie Ink
     Thistle CS
     White Daisy CS
     Artiste Cartridge
     Artistry Cartridge
     Card Chatter--Birthday (retired)
     Happy Everything (retired)
     Silver Metallic paper (retired)

Other products:
    Cricut Explore Silver Metallic Marker
    Cricut Explore Pink Crystal Marker
    Cricut Explore Black Marker
Purple Metallic paper from recycled gift bag

Next on our blog hop tour is Helen Gullett.  I'm sure you will like what she has to share!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
