Atlantic Hearts Sketch #231

We have another wonderful sketch for you to try over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge!  I brought out some new Distress Oxide Inks (Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves) and Pretty Posies stamp set and dies to make this simple card.

I used a Nuvo Silver Glitter Marker and a ruler to edge the white panel before adhering it to the Recollections "Essentials Distressed" paper.  I used the Silver Glitter Marker for the flower center and then Nuvo Clear Crystal Drops to bring out the shine.

Here is the fabulous Atlantic Hearts Sketch I followed:

Golf Themed Birthday Card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch #229

Papercrafting has been one of my passions and so is golf!  When my golfing friends have birthdays I feel compelled to create with a golf theme.  This special card was made for my brother-in-law following the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch #229.

I used Design Space and the Cricut Explore to create this card.  The golf tee border image is from Paper Dolls for Everyday cartridge and was expanded to span the card.  The numbers are from the Nursery Rhymes cartridge cut from Silver Glitter paper and a thin craft foam for dimension.  The sentiment is stamped from "Just a Number" stamp set by Close to My Heart with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The turf paper is by Frances Meyer and the background paper is Pear from Close to My Heart.  The golf tee border is shimmery because it was cut from Recollections Antique Gold shimmer paper.  If you would like to replicate this card you can use my DS file here

Here is the fabulous Atlantic Hearts Sketch that inspired my card layout:

September Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Andrea Sherman's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is also on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

My card features the September Stamp of the Month called "Feel So Blessed".

I stamped the feathers onto Adventure Fundamentals paper (Lagoon, Blossom and Pacifica) with Black Memento Ink and then fussy cut them.  The silver sparkled feather veins were made with the Silver Metallic marker.  The yellow background panel is Lemon cardstock with the Chalk Marker creating a background texture.  Thanks was stamped in Memento Black ink and matted with Raspberry cardstock and popped up with 3D Foam Tape.

Here is what the rest of the September Stamp of the Month includes:

Stamps

This fabulous stamp set is available for a limited time only.  You can get it for just $5 with a $50 order from your Close to My Heart consultant.  If you don't already have a consultant you can get it from me here.

Color Dare #260 Meets Try Stampin' on Tuesday #338

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog post!  Our color challenges now go for two weeks to give you more time to play along.  This week we are challenging you to create something with all and only these exclusive Close to My Heart colors:  White Daisy, Charcoal, Bashful, Willow and Raspberry.  Of course if you don't have these Close to My Heart colors yet you can substitute similar colors so you can still join in the fun!

The gorgeous stamp I used is from the CTMH September National Stamping Month promotion card kit which comes with 10 interactive cards.  Charcoal Ink was used for stamping the focal image onto White Daisy cardstock.  The flower and leaves were colored by painting with Bashful, Raspberry and Willow inks. Clear Shimmer Brush was added to the flowers for a little extra shine.  The glittery bow trim was cut with the new Ribbon Border Thin Cut Die and Bashful Glitter paper. The focal panel is matted with Willow cardstock and the background papers are Raspberry cardstock and Bashful cardstock.

Here is the Color My Heart Color Dare graphic.   Don't you love how our new image features the papers instead of the inks as the papers are now two toned!  Just click on the image and it will take you to the Color Dare blog so you can see what the rest of the fabulous Design Team has created to inspire you.
