Father's Day Card with Sunday Stamps Sketch #362

The sketch at Sunday Stamps #362 this week appealed to me so I made a Father's Day Card while following the sketch.  The blue and green plaid paper is from Close to my Heart called "Celebrate Today" and the sentiment is from a very old CTMH wood stamp set with several sentiments. I used the scalloped square punch to highlight the sentiment. The background mat is Clover card stock.

Here is the fabulous Sunday Stamps sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Gals Corner #268--Fill in the Blank Dad's.....

Neglected Stuff Challenge  (6/25)--Anything Goes (I haven't used the square punch in many, many years!)

      Crafty Calendar June--Add a Sentiment

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

:) Marie

Celebrate Today Hello Card With Atlantic Hearts Sketch #362

This week's Atlantic Hearts sketch is a great sketch to create cards quickly.

From start to finish my card took about 15 minutes to make!  (Usually it takes me twice that long just to decide on what products I'm going to use!)

     Celebrate Today Paper
     Sapphire CS
     Loose Sequins (Crafty)
     Hello Thin Cut Die (retired)

"Hello" was cut from Recollections Shimmer Silver paper.  To create the shadow I traced the back of the die onto the back of the Sapphire cardstock with a pencil and then cut it out.  I used an old Fiskars paper edger to trim the left side of the floral panel.

What will you create with this fabulous sketch?  The challenge will end this Sunday evening.  You can link up your creation here.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Crafty Cardmakers--Spring
     Dream Valley Challenges--Spring Colors
     Use Your Stuff--Spring
     My Inkie Fingers--Spring
     Penny Black and More--Spring Flowers

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
