Fall Themed Get Well Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #493

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a centered horizontal band with a focal circle to the right with leafy embellishments underneath.  I chose to use leaf sprigs from retired CTMH "Chelsea Gardens" stamped in matching inks from Fern, Autumn Terracotta, New England Ivy.  The Pomegranate sprigs were cut from an Olive Branch Background Thin Cut Die.  The background paper is very old New England Ivy B & T paper over New England Ivy Card Stock.  The greeting is from "Get Well Soon".  The horizontal band and circle are Colonial White Card Stock.

This next photo captures the sparkle created by stamping with Versamark Ink, then Pomegranate ink and then using Polysparkle Tinsel Embossing powder.  (All retired CTMH products).

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, October 9 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Feels Like Home #1 With Sunday Stamps #202

Feels Like Home is a lovely patterned paper set with both masculine and feminine designs.  I used a lovely floral pattern following this week's Sunday Stamps Sketch.

The background cardstock is the Close to My Heart color of the year called Sugarplum.  The leaf spray is from the retired Chelsea Garden stamped with Fern ink onto Fern cardstock and colored in with Marvy watercolor pencils.  The focal stamp is from the retired Salutation Seals in Sugarplum ink.

Here is the fabulous Sunday Stamps sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Color Dare #308 Meets Atlantic Hearts Sketch #279

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog.  It is the last week of the month so we have another fun "choose your own" color challenge using the Tic Tac Toe challenge board featuring Documented color palette.  I used the top row featuring Peacock, Heather and New England Ivy.  The background stamp is Heartfelt Thanks and the butterfly is from the retired Chelsea Gardens stamp set.  The butterfly was black embossed and then painted with Saffron ink.  Several layers of Clear Shimmer Brush were then applied.  Peacock Large Dots Ribbon from the Enchantment Ribbon pack was placed over the Saffron card stock horizontal stripe.

Here is the Documented Tic Tac Toe Board to inspire your creativity.  Please be sure to let us know which row or column you are using when you submit your entry. You must use 3 in a line but you may add other (or all) colors from the challenge board. If you don't have these exact colors yet you may substitute similar colors so you can still join in the fun.  Just click on the graphic below to get to the Color Dare blog to see what the rest of the fabulous Design Team has to inspire you.  Our challenge is open until Thursday evening, September 13.  We look forward to seeing how you use these colors.

Sympathy Card With Case This Sketch #257

Card sketches are a great way to spark creativity and I knew that Case This Sketch #257 would make a lovely sympathy card.  The branches are from the Chelsea Gardens Stamp set by Close to My Heart along with Glacier card stock and Peacock card stock and Vellum.  I love the way these two bluish green papers look together!  The sentiment is from the Sincere Expressions stamp set (retired Close to My Heart) and was stamped in Versamark Ink and Peacock Ink and then clear embossed.

Here is the fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout:
