Get Well Cards with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #559

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a vertical layout with 3 stripes beneath the rectangular panel in the center.  My cards were inspired by wanting to use a new confetti paper I found in clearance at Hobby Lobby.  I wasn't sure if I liked the navy blue trim or turquoise trim so I made 2 cards.  The pink layer is pink acetate which I also picked up on clearance years ago.  The stamped elements were from a retired Close to my Heart stamp and thin cut die set called "Under the Weather".

Here are closeup photos.  Which card do you like better?

Get Well Slider Card for Heart 2 Heart I like to Move it, Move it Challenge

One of my friends had a motorcycle accident so I made him a "speedy recovery" card with  a horse image that moves from left to right.  It was so easy to do with Close to my Heart's new Thin Cut Slider Dies.  The paper is retired Chalk it Up and the sentiment is from "Get Well Soon" stamped in Capri Ink and matted with Capri Card Stock.  The horse was cut from Kraft paper with Design Space and my Cricut machine.  Gold Shimmer Trim created the flag under the sentiment.

I'm linking this card to the following challenges:
Heart 2 Heart--I Like to Move it, Move it
     Simon Says Stamp--Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door--Always Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Sparkling Hexagons with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #473

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a square card with a vertical strip of hexagons (or whatever other element you choose) matted with contrasting paper, a sentiment in the lower right corner, and some small embellishments.  My card uses Mix-in Paper from May-June, Stitched Square Frame Thin Cut Die, hexagon stamp from very old Close to my Heart set called "Wicked", Birthday Greetings Stamp, Capri Ink, Versamark Ink, Irridescent Embossing powder, Holographic Foil Paper with 1/8" paper punch.

This second card angle shows off the sparkling embossing powder better.

Pixie Sparkled Blooms for The Paper Players Challenge #583

Several weeks ago I created several card panels with Pixie Sparkle Powders and am starting to put them together into cards.  The challenge at The Paper Players inspired my stamp choice. The flowers started as a piece of photo paper sprinkled with Sunburst Pixie Sparkle Powder and sprayed with water.  When the piece air dried I stamped the bouquet from a retired Close to my Heart stamp set called "Cherish Her" with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. (The sister greeting is also from that set.) I then used a green brush marker to color the leaves and stems.  The gingham paper is very old Crystal Blue B & T paper from Close to my Heart.  The bold Happy Birthday is from "Sweetest Birthday Wishes" stamped in Capri Ink.

Here is the sketch graphic from The Paper Players that inspired my card layout:

I’m also entering this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Monday Challenge--Bright and Cheerful

Retro Rubber Challenge #178--Anything Goes with stamp                older than a year (Cherish Her was February 2020                        CTMH stamp of the month)

Try it on Tuesday--Say it With Flowers

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
