Sympathy Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #518

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a vertical striped layout with an off center circular element and bow.  I didn't have a bow die and didn't want to use a tied ribbon so I used tropical leaves and flower from Fabulous Flamingo.  The shades of green striped paper is from "Grateful Heart" (retired Close to my Heart product).  The sentiment and leaves were stamped in Versamark Ink and then New England Ivy ink and embossed with Polysparkle Tinsel Embossing powder. The sentiment is from "Words of Comfort" (retired Close to my Heart product).  A scalloped circle die was also used to frame the sentiment.

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, April 2 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Quick Sympathy Card with Paper Craft Crew Horizontal Sketch #510

Simplicity is helpful when you need to make a card in a hurry so I followed the fabulous sketch at the Paper Craft Crew.  The paper is from Echo Park "Day in the Life" paper and the sentiment is from Close to my Heart "Words of Comfort" in New England Ivy Ink and paper frame.

Golf Themed Thank You Cards with Freshly Made Sketch #578

There were several people I needed to thank for helping out at our Golf Invitational last week so I chose the great sketch from Freshly Made Sketch and varied the papers.  The large background die is from Close to my Heart which retired a couple of years ago but is still useful to me.  The background papers are from Stampin Up's Clubhouse papers which also is no longer available. It was a little difficult to capture the shimmer from the silver and gold foil papers used on the first 2 cards.  The background of the third card is silver metallic cardstock.

Which one do you like best?

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layouts:

Glittery Striped Birthday Card for AAA Birthday Game #47 Stripes and/or Dots

Months ago my card was selected as a winner at AAA Birthday and I am honored  to be a Guest Designer for this challenge.  The challenge for this month is Stripes and/or Dots.  I used a background that I made from strips of scraps placed on an adhesive sheet.  I left some space between the strips so I could press gold glitter in to the spaces.  A Nuvo Gold Glitter Marker was used to color in the letters from the Festive Borders stamp.

Please be sure to check out the AAA Birthday website for more great card ideas.  You can link up your creation here.

Kendra's Card Challenge #9 Birthday Card

Several weeks ago I stumbled upon (perhaps from Pinterest?)  Kendra's Card Challenges.  This is her 9th challenge and she has templates to use 6 different 6 x 6 papers (with the addition of coordinating card stocks) to create 15 different cards.  The cutting diagrams and card sketches were well labeled and easy to follow.  It took me several weeks to complete but it was a lot of fun!

Here is a photo of the 6 papers I started with--just random papers I had in my stash although using a coordinating paper pack would work too.

This is how all of my cards turned out:

I'm entering the following card into several challenges:

Seize the Birthday--Option of Winged Things

Crafty Calendar January--Add a Sentiment

Double D--Anything Goes Birthday

Stamping Sensations--Add Some Sparkle

Art Impressions--Let's Celebrate
