Country Dragonfly with Case This Sketch #355

I love CAS card sketches and the current one from Case This Sketch enabled me to ink up several new stamps and one previously unused stamp.  Country Dragonfly and the sentiment from Spruced Up Cardmaking are new and the ink spots are from the Strokes of An Artist stamp set which I've had for months.  I used second generation Lagoon ink for the bigger ink spot and first generation Lagoon Ink for the smaller ink spots.  The sentiment and dragonfly were stamped in Sapphire Ink.  A Purple Tri-Blend marker was used to color in the dragonfly which was popped up with 3D Foam Dots.

Here is the fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also sharing this card with the following challenges:
     Heart 2 Heart--All Spruced Up
     Die Cut Divas--New Things
Tales from the Craft Room--Something New

30th Birthday Card in Greens

A special young lady will turn 30 soon and I used the opportunity to create a card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #351. Her favorite color is green and this inspired my paper choices.

The greeting is actually quite sparkly.  First I inked the stamp in Versamark Ink and then Evergreen Ink.  Then I used a very old Close to My Heart Embossing Powder called "Polysparkle Tinsel" to create the sparkled image as you can see in this second picture.

      Julep Glitter Paper

M Folded Cards for Joyful Stars January Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Lori Meadows blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

After the holidays were over I had some time to just peruse shared cards on Pinterest and I was intrigued by a new (to me) card fold I found here and decided to try making a few with Close to My Heart products.

My first card started with a 5.5" x 11" sheet of White Daisy sheet scored at 1.25", 4" and 6.75".  I then glued pieces of Every Little Thing patterned paper and zip strips along with the Wisteria dotted paper from last season's Mix-In Paper.

The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings and I used the Stitched Circle Thin Cut Dies and Basic Circle Thin Cut Dies to frame it. The stars were inked with Wisteria and the greeting was embossed in Black.

My second card started with a 5.5" x 11" sheet of Every Little Thing paper and Wisteria and White Daisy panels added.  The sentiment is from the January Stamp of the Month called Everyday Magic.

Here are the fabulous stamps included in the January Stamp of the month:

S2001: Everyday Magic, set of 17

I'm also sharing these cards with the following challenges:
Paper Players--Something New (card fold technique)
Heart 2 Heart--Try Something New (card fold technique)
Always Fun--Something New (card fold technique)
Get Creative--Something New (card fold technique)
Simon Says Monday--Something New (card fold technique)
    Seize the Birthday #180--Layer It

Now it's time to head over to Nancy Brown's blog --I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she has to share.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
