Two Gator Cards with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #614

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a horizontal layout with 2 vertical stripes on the left, a round focal point with sentiment on the right and embellishments behind the focal frame.  My cards started with a Stampin Up "Jungle Pals" stamped image which was colored with "Fake Plant Lunar Paste".  The background paper is Close to my Heart Julep.  The embellishments from the Birthday Card were fussy cut from Close to my Heart "Deck the Palms" paper and the sentiment is from a Kokarosa stamp set called "Happy Cartoon Frogs".

My second card also features "Deck the Palms" paper as the vertical stripes, gold Sizzix leaf dies, and a sentiment from Close to my Heart "Stronger Together" which was gold embossed over Evergreen Card Stock.

Which card do you like better?

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, February 2 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Playing with Lunar and Solar Paste with Freshly Made Sketch #595

Recently I purchased a few jars of Simon Hurley's Lunar Paste and Solar Paste and used them with Close to my Hearts' Sprigs and Leaves Embossing Folder and Stencils to create this card.  First I stenciled Fake Plant Solar Paste for green leaves and Golden Hour Solar Paste for small leaves and shading on Sage Card Stock.  The pastes were applied with a foam applicator brush.  Next I used the Embossing folder to create even more texture.  Gold metallic card stock was used to mat the focal circle and leaf panel.

This second photo was taken with a different angle so that the shiny metallic gold could be featured.

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
Can You Handle the Pressure--Anything Goes with a twist of                   Nautical
      Stencil Fun--Option of Birthdays
Addicted to Stamps and More #450--Die Cuts and/or Stencils

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
