Daisy Thank You Card with Freshly Made Sketch #600

Congratulations to the Design Team at Freshly Made Sketches!  They are celebrating the milestone of having provided 600 fabulous sketches.  This is one of my favorite sketch challenges and I play along as often as time permits.

I'm still making daisy themed thank you cards and this sketch worked perfectly for an extra cricut cut daisy that was sitting on my desk.  The embossed background was made with an old Cuttlebug embossing folder called "Juli's Garden".

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge--Bright and Cheerful
Can You Handle the Pressure--Embossing with optional twist of               Poppies
Moving Along with the Times #157--Embossing-Wet or Dry

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

:) Marie

Valentine card with Sunday Stamps color challenge and Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch

I love color challenges and decided to use this week's Sunday Stamps SSC#33 color palette along with the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge #102.  The color palette for the challenge features Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake and Perfect Plum--I substituted Close To My Heart Ruby, Wheat (retired) and Gypsy.   The three stamps that I used were stamped in Ruby ink and are all part of the Whoo's Your Valentine January special.  The Ruby background panel was run through the Cuttlebug machine inside "Juli's Garden" embossing folder.  The raised edges were then sanded to allow the white core of the paper to show through.  Small drops of Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel were placed inside the tiny circles formed by the embossing to give it a jeweled look.  Slender strips of black cardstock were placed behind the Ruby panel.  The heart was stamped inside a 2" punched scalloped circle and the edges were distressed with Ruby ink and placed on 3D Foam Tape to pop it up off the card.

Here is the Sunday Stamps color palette:

I am also entering this card into Black Tie Friday's Challenge #16--no patterned paper--I made my own with stamps and dry embossing and distressing.

If you are looking for a good color challenge try using these 3 shades of green at
