Using Pretty Wrapping Paper for Atlantic Hearts Sketch #296

On Christmas Eve I still needed a to make a few more Christmas cards and I came upon a great sketch from Atlantic Hearts which helped me create a handful of cards in a short time.  I had some scraps of metallic wrapping paper left and incorporated it into my cards.

This next card shows the reverse placement of paper elements.  Which card do you like better?

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #341--Christmas

Welcome back to another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog post!  As the holidays approach we are inviting you to create a project with a Christmas theme this fortnight.  Our challenge ends Sunday evening, December 23 so you have almost 2 weeks to join in on the fun.

My card was created with a cut called Happy Holidays Christmas Card #M4C5AB (available in Access subscription).  The red patterned paper is from Close to My Heart Grateful Heart paper.  I also cut it from dark green card stock so I could glue the tree on top.  The wording was painted with Twinkling H2O Egyptian Gold which is so shimmery!  The woodgrain patterned background panel is from Recollections Christmas Noel paper from last year.  This card was very easy to assemble.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments Challenge--Anything Goes with               a sentiment
       Moving Along With the Times--Christmas
Crafty Gals Corner #180--Anything Christmas                    Goes

Here's more info from the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog:

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

December Joyful Stars Blog Hop with Grateful Heart Papers

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Debi Brile's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

I made two really quick cards with Grateful Heart papers.  The first card was inspired by the sketch at Case This Sketch #300.  The sentiment panel is Almond with Pomegranate berries and New England Ivy sentiment from the Grateful Heart Cardmaking stamp set.

Case This Sketch #300:

My second card layout was inspired by Feeling Sketchy Challenge #206 and uses the Junior Varsity Alphabet stamp set (Hostess Rewards see page 4 of current catalog.)  Apart from the wonderful Grateful Heart papers I used Sapphire Ink and Silver Sequins to complete this card.

Here is the Feeling Sketchy graphic that I followed to create the above card:

Now it's time to head over to Michelle Loncar's blog--I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she has to share.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Football Championship Congratulations Card with Freshly Made Sketch #265

A young man I know just led his team to a State Championship and thus the inspiration for my personalized card.

The quarterback is a cricut cut from the Ready, Set, Sports cartridge (available in Access subscription).  The patterned papers are from Fresh Air and Vineyard Berry Victorian paper packs (both retired Close to My Heart).  I used Burnished Bronze Embellishment Mousse to paint in the football.

This is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
Sunday Stamps--Breath of Winter Color Palette
         Crafts Galore Encore--Anything Goes
