50th Birthday Card With Atlantic Hearts Sketch #213

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge blog post!  We have a really interesting sketch for you to try this week.  Here is what I created to help celebrate a big birthday for my friend MaryBeth:

The background was randomly stamped with an old CTMH stamp called "Starburst Fireworks" using Glacier and Tulip inks.  The sentiment and numbers were cut out of shiny metallic cardstock ("Holiday Foil") from Craftsmith.  Here is a view from a different angle so you can see the sparkle.

Here is the Atlantic Heart Sketch that I followed.  Just click on it to get to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog.  The DT reveal will be posted Wednesday morning so you can create without being influenced by the DT.

I created my card in Design Space using the Close to My Heart Artbooking cartridge and used the Cricut Explore to cut it.  Here is the Cricut Design Space file if you would like to replicate it.

This card is being shared with the following challenges:
     Allsorts Challenge--Happy Birthday
Seize the Birthday--Optional Creatures or                           Animals
     Craft for the Craic--Anything Goes
     Bitten by the Bug--Birthday
     Always Fun Challenges--Anything Goes

We would love to see what you create using the above sketch!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Use Your Stash "Patterned Paper" Blog Hop

It's time for our monthly Use Your Stash Blog Hop where we share what we've made using older product.  The theme for this month is "Patterned Paper Addict" and it was hard for me to choose what lovely paper I wanted to use.  If you are coming from Casandra Bennett's blog you are on the right track.  (If you get "lost" along the way you can check Wendy Kessler's blog for a list of all the participants).

My cards feature the beautiful "Brushed" paper pack which was retired last year. I combined it with some older "Tulip" red cardstock, Black cardstock, red or black shimmer trim and some new stamps that I really love called "Stamps of Approval" which is available in the new CTMH Seasonal Expressions catalog.  I made a group of cards to keep available to use or perhaps give as a gift to someone else.  I used Design Space to create the scalloped borders. The label mats were cut using the Artistry cartridge.

Which card do you like the best?

Dynamic Duos #38 with Come and Get it Challenge Sketch

The colors at Dynamic Duos this week are Pretty in Pink and Real Red.  I used Close To My Heart Sweetheart paper (retired) for the pink background and Tulip ink (retired) for the hearts from "Love Life".  The hearts are popped up from the "For Always" squares with 3D Foam Tape.  The red lines above and below the hearts were made with Red Glitz Glitter Gel.  The glitter on the three hearts was made with Silver Glitz Glitter Gel.  This card came together very quickly using the Come and Get It Challenge Sketch.

Here is the Come and Get It Challenge Sketch:

Card Word Puzzle with Sweetheart Paper--Can you help me think of phrases?

The greeting from this set is from Close To My Heart and will be available on February 1 here. It is a collection of words that can be combined to create your own greetings with beautiful flower images too! Here is a photo:

Here is the first card I made with this set. I used CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge to cut the label, tulip ink, black cs and cotton candy cs stripe. The featured paper is CTMH Sweetheart paper which is on clearance right now. ($3 for 12 sheets of patterned paper and 10 sheets of coordinating cardstock.) You can get it here but hurry!

After I photographed the card I decided to add some bling:

My Rock the Block Challenge--Day 7

Well I'm meeting my challenge with this post (and I still have more Rock the Block ideas to share!) I love this set and the stamps in it can be found here. Today's card is a Valentine's Day card suitable for anyone--a friend, parent, sibling or sweetheart. This card features the corner floral stamp as the background frame for a cricut cut window card. To achieve this effect I stamped the widest edge of the stamp on each of the 4 sides of the card. I used the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge to cut out the card, the window overlay and the hearts. The colors are White Daisy, Cotton Candy and Tulip. The greeting is from "Mad About You" and is stamped on the inside of the card. A trio of small hearts were stamped, matted and popped up with 3D Foam Tape. Clear sparkles were added to accent each heart.

Thanks for viewing my cards and have a great day filled with creativity and fun!
