Medicare Birthday Card with Tuesday Morning Sketch #673

It's a milestone birthday for my brother-in-law which inspired my card.  I took out my Cricut machine to create the sentiment and ovals.  The background paper is retired from Close to My Heart called "Dreamin".  The gold shine is holographic gold poster board and the silver shine is Silver Glitter Paper.  The font is Rialto.

Here is the fabulous sketch I followed from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I didn't want to waste the negative silver glitter piece so I created another card to honor my friends who have the same birthday (and they are married to each other!)

Which card do you like better?

I'm also entering these cards into the following challenges:

     Beyond the Blue #68--Mixed Sentiments

     Creative Knockouts #467--Funny/Humorous

Happy Times Birthday Card with Tuesday Morning Sketch #658

This week's simple sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches appealed to me (and I had some time to create). As I was going through my drawer of older patterned papers I came across this fun floral paper called "Happy Times" by Close to my Heart.  The older CTMH sentiment die was cut into a dotted glossy piece of cardstock from the back of an ornament tag sold at Michaels.  The gold strips are from a sheet of gold holographic poster board that I've had for years.

Here is the fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Paper Craft Crew Tic Tac Toe #472--Die cuts, Bling, Flowers

Shamrocks Card with Sunday Stamps Sketch #278

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I'm feeling blessed and happy to share my third card with the same great image from Cricut Image Set "Celebrate with Flourish".  (The other two can be found here and here.)  This time I used the fabulous sketch from Sunday Stamps.  The background paper is Mint, the shamrocks are Clover and the sparkly shamrock backgrounds are Gold Holographic Poster Board.

I made a second card substituting Deck the Palms paper for the Mint Cardstock and changing the Lumen (Simon Says Stamp) embossing folder to a Flourish embossing folder (Cuttlebug).  Which one do you like better?

Shamrocks Card with Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #546

Next week is St. Patrick's Day and there are several family members that I want to remember with handmade greeting cards.  My cricut machine cut the pair of layered shamrocks (Celebrate with Flourish cartridge) which are featured within Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch #546. The background layer was created by swiping Clover Ink over the Lumen 3D folder (Simon Says Stamp) and running it through my Cuttlebug machine.  The shamrocks were cut from Clover Card Stock and then brushed with a Clear Shimmer Brush for a little bit more sparkle.  The sparkly gold strip and shamrock background layer is Gold Holographic Poster Board.  The yellow gingham paper is very old Close to my Heart Buttercup B & T and the flag is Mint Card Stock.

Here is the fabulous Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Anniversary Card Inspired by Try Stampin' on Tuesday #527

Our friends celebrated an anniversary yesterday and I made them a card to commemorate the special day.  I really liked the flourishes in the current Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch and decided to fussy cut "Every Little Thing" paper and pop it up on my card.  There already was a gold embossed Happy Anniversary sentiment in my extras box so I cut it with an stitched oval and backed it with a bigger stitched oval cut from scraps of gold holographic poster board. The background paper is Mint.

Here is the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Stinkin' Inkers--Scrap Happy Challenge (extra Anniversary                      sentiment and gold holographic leftover from a different                   project)

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #433 with Dreamin' Paper

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features 3 long panels with a center rectangle and a circle element.  I chose to slice up an older Close to my Heart paper called Dreamin' in 3 parts because this pretty paper will also qualify for the current Color My Heart Color Dare #456 which is to use colors on the opposite side of the color wheel.

Besides the Dreamin' paper my card features other retired CTMH products such as Goldrush Card Stock and Pacifica Card Stock.  The Scalloped Circle Thin Cut Die was cut from Almond Card Stock and the sentiment was cut from scraps from a Holographic poster board from a previous project with Honey Bees "Bitty Buzzwords" dies.

Here is our fabulous sketch this week.  Our challenge ends Sunday evening, August 15. You can link up your creation here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love.

Another Thanks Thin Cut Die Card with Freshly Made Sketch #466

I'm having so much fun making cards with my new Thanks Thin Cut Die!  Here is another quick card that I made following Freshly Made Sketch #466.

This card features Black Ore paper and the negative cut from the Thanks Thin Cut Die.  Scraps of holographic poster board were used to cut the focal panel and side strips.  (There is a diagonal cut on the center panel to avoid previous cuts in the top left hand corner--have to use every little bit haha!)

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layout:

New ThanksThin Cut Dies with Freshly Made Sketch #466

Freshly Made Sketch #466 was used to create this sparkly card using a recent gift to myself of Close to my Heart's Thanks Thin Cut Dies.  The patterned paper is from Mix-in Paper. The background die cut is from Recollections Antique Gold Shimmer paper.  The top layer of die cut and side panels came from scraps from a gold holographic poster sheet that I had saved from years ago when I was creating gift boxes.
