So Much Happy Cards with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #313

I'm still having fun using the Daisy floral paper from the Close to My Heart So Much Happy paper pack!  (You can see more Daisy cards here).  This time I used Cricut Design Space and the current Atlantic Hearts Sketch--#313

Which card do you like better?

I used a Cricut cut from Elegant Edges and cut it as a square.  Then I applied 4 ' wide double sided adhesive tape to the back side of the daisy pattern paper and then cut it in half on my paper cutter so that I could make two cards.  I didn't count on not being able to easily remove the adhesive from the cut out half circle edges so I added superfine glitter to cover up the glue.  The yellow flower centers were also glittered.  Other Close to My Heart supplies I used are:
Canary Card Stock, Seasons Mix-In paper, Carolina Card Stock, Sapphire Card Stock and retired Thin Cut Dies.  If you would like to replicate my scalloped edge cut you can find my Design Space cutting file here.

You can join in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge here:

I'm also entering these cards into the following challenges:
     Aud Sentiments Challenge--Birthday
     Moving Along With the Times--Floral
     Seize the Birthday--Option-Texture
     House That Stamps Built--Anything Goes
     Paper Shelter--Add a Sentiment

So Much Happy Meets Case This Sketch #318

These cards made with the So Much Happy Paper pack from Close to My Heart were so quick to put together with Case This Sketch #318.  (This lovely paper pack will expire on April 30 to make way for new catalog items on May 1.)

I just love this daisy patterned paper so much I made a second card reversing the mat and background paper.

Which card do you like better?

The sentiment is from Butterfly Friendship (also retiring next week) and was stamped in Sapphire Ink.  The banner is a retired Thin Cut Die from CTMH.

Here is the fabulous sketch that inspired my cards:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #312 Easter Card

I was in a creative mode last week and made several Easter cards (and actually mailed them!)  This card was inspired by Atlantic Hearts Sketch #312.

The cardstock colors are Glacier, Sugarplum and Pansy.  The Sugarplum stamped butterflies are from the Close to my Heart April Stamp of the Month called Love So Sweet.  The argyle center strip is from the Zoe paper pack.  The Pansy Ink stamped sentiment is from a very old wooden "super set" name unknown.

This is the April Stamp of the Month set available for just $5 with a $50 purchase here.

Stamps
I chose soft colors (white, pale bluish green from lower butterfly and pale purple from the tulips) from the Crafting by Designs inspiration photo:

Here is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch photo--the challenge stays open until April 21:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenge:

Inspired by Sketch Saturday #559

Last week's Sketch Saturday sketch was so easy to use I made several Easter cards with it using various Close to My Heart patterned papers.  The sentiment stamp is an old CTMH wood stamp and the butterfly is from the April Stamp of the Month called Love So Sweet stamped in Sugarplum Ink.

Feels Like Home #2 with Sunday Stamps #202

In my previous post I mentioned how versatile the Feels Like Home paper pack from Close to My Heart is with having both masculine and feminine style papers.  This is the second card I've made with this same paper pack using the fabulous Sunday Stamps Sketch #202.  The background paper and the matted frame is from the retired Grateful Heart paper from CTMH and the sentiment stamp is from the retired Framed set in Sapphire Ink also from CTMH. The focal stamp was colored in with Marvy watercolor pencils and matted with Pomegranate patterned paper also form the retired Grateful Heart paper.

Feels Like Home is a lovely patterned paper set with both masculine and feminine designs.  I used a lovely floral pattern following this week's Sunday Stamps Sketch.

The background cardstock is the Close to My Heart color of the year called Sugarplum.  The leaf spray is from the retired Chelsea Garden stamped with Fern ink onto Fern cardstock and colored in with Marvy watercolor pencils.  The focal stamp is from the retired Salutation Seals in Sugarplum ink.

Here is the fabulous Sunday Stamps sketch that inspired my card layout:

April Joyful Stars Blog Hop with Love So Sweet and Zoe

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Andrea Sherman's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

I have two cards to share with you that started with the same great sketch from Case This Sketch #316.

Zoe Paper (argyle background AND                       butterfly coloring) Special                                 promotion until May 31
Love So Sweet--April Stamp of the                         Month
     Intense Black Ink
     Glacier Card Stock
     Stitched Circle Die
     Versamark Ink
     Ranger Clear Embossing Powder
Mini Glue Dots (attached to center of                        butterfly only so wings flip up)

After I stamped the butterfly onto the Zoe patterned paper, I pressed it onto Versamark Ink and then used Clear Embossing Powder and then fussy cut it with the CTMH Micro-Tip scissors.  Perhaps you can see it better in this closeup photo:

Here is the fabulous Case This Sketch #361 sketch that inspired my card layout:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #310 has a fabulous sketch this week and I immediately thought of using the leaf spray in this month's Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month set called "Love So Sweet."  I'm actually going to send this card to my nephew who just received a large scholarship to attend medical school.  Way to go, John!

Hello Lovely Floral Spray for Case This Sketch #315

I love the simplicity of this week's Case This Sketch challenge sketch so I just had to play along.  Although this photo doesn't do it justice the gold embossed flowers and leaves have been painted with the Mint Shimmer Brush and Sugarplum Shimmer Brush.  This card is so much prettier in person!

The Mint Card Stock background was embossed with the CTMH Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The gold stripe is from retired Happy Times paper pack.  The floral spray focal image is from a retired stamp set called "Hello Lovely" which also came with a coordinating Thin Cut Die.

After I had made this card I realized I needed a wedding card so I added the greeting from the Hello Lovely stamp set on Sugarplum Card Stock.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Tuesday Throwdown--Pastel Colors
     Fab n Funky--Just Add Ink
Through the Craft Room Door--Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
:) Marie
