Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post! This week our sketch has lots of diagonal strips and a central focal element. I used the zip strips from Party Time paper to create this birthday card. Isn't it fun to use these colorful strips this way? The background card stock is Lagoon and the sentiment was stamped in Sapphire Ink.
The heart was embossed with a retired Close to my Heart folder called Quilt.
Here is our fabulous sketch to spark your creativity! We look forward to seeing what you can create and share with us here. Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, June 20.
I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
Seize the Birthday--Option of Nautical
Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends--Anything Goes
Crafters Castle--Anything Goes
Alphabet Challenge--E is for Easy, Simple
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
:) Marie

Nice idea to use those strips of paper for your background - lovely vibrant colours. Thanks for joining us at the Alphabet challenge. Deborah x
Very pretty card. Great embossing and design. So glad you shared over at Alphabet challenge.
I, too, like the strips in the background. Such a clever way to use scraps! The white heart really stands out in all the colours, but I like that it's not boring due to the embossing. Another great effect I must remember for my projects :) Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
Hugs, Veronika
Great card - love your combinations of patterned strips!
