January Joyful Stars Cards

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Debi Brile's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

My first card features bright primary colors from the new Something Fierce paper packet.  The pattern for this card layout came from  Make it From Your Heart book. The greeting is from Years of Sweetness stamp set and was stamped in Bluebird inkRed Shimmer Trim was used to frame the sentiment.

For my second card I followed a sketch from AAA cards.  I wanted to use only current CTMH products so I stamped the back of the Thanks stamp from the January stamp of the month  (a "must have" for it's versatility) to create the pastel color blocks in Crystal Blue, Mint and Ballerina.  The sentiment is also from the January Stamp of the Month called "Card Captions".  The background panel is Crystal Blue card stock.

These are the stamps in the Card Captions January Stamp of the Month:

Stamps

You can get this stamp set for $18.95 or for only $5.00 with a $50. order ONLY during January 2019.  If you don't have a consultant I would be happy to help you get this fabulous acrylic stamp set.

Here is the graphic for the sketch challenge in case you want to play along:

I can't decide if I like the brights or pastels better. Love both!

How fun to see two totally different cards! I think both of them are fantastic and it was neat to see how the vertical-linear pattern compared to the horizontal-linear pattern. The contrast between the bright colors and the lighter colors was also a treat to see! Thank you for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

Very clever using the back of the stamp. I looked at the card adn immediately tried to figure what stamp that was! I need to learn to read first, but I am always distracted by pretty things!
