Tea-rrific Card for March Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome back to the March Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Betty Locco's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is also on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

My card features the fabulous March stamp of the month called "Tea--rrific". It is a set of 11 stamps which is available in March only for just $5 with a $50 CTMH purchase.

I wanted my teacup to look like it was porcelain so after it was colored with Shin Han Touch Markers and fussy cut I smooshed the piece into Versamark Ink and then applied Clear Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.  Here is a closeup view of the shiny surface of the teacup.

Close to My Heart products used:
     Tea-rrific Stamps
     Dreamin' Big paper
     Glacier CS
     Poppy CS
     Memento Black Ink
Shin Han Touch Markers: Vivid Green, Golden                Yellow, Carmine, Light Orange
     Versamark Ink
     Clear Detail Embossing Powder

Here is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into Addicted to Stamps and More--Make Your Mark challenge, Crafty Gals Corner--Polka Dots and/or Stripes, The Paper Shelter--Circles, Dots and/or Stripes and Try it on Tuesday--Time for Tea.

Now it's time to hop on over to my friend Jennifer Benner's blog.  I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she shares.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
:) Marie

A lovely SOTM card...I don't ever get tired of seeing the many ways people use the Tea-rrific stamp set. GREAT job! :)

Great heat embossing on the cup...you accomplished the look of china...wish I had seen this before I did my card with the teacup. But the coffee lover's blog is coming up, and must remember that technique, usually I would use wink of stella; but the embossing is definitely shiny-er. Beautiful.
