Lady Golfer Thank You Card with The Paper Players Sketch #551

 Indian Corn Blue is one of my favorite Close to My Heart colors which retired many years ago so I used its coordinating patterned paper, card stock, ink and marker.  The lady golfer is also from a retired CTMH stamp set called Tee Time and the Thank You greeting is from a retired stamp set called Many Thanks.

Masculine Birthday Card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #431

Flower Child Baby Card with Freshly Made Sketch #495

I've had this Flower Child stamp set (retired Close to my Heart) for 10 years or more and the sketch at Freshly Made seemed to be the perfect sketch to make a baby card.  Cherub Pink Gingham B & T paper, Cherub Pink Card Stock and Linen Card Stock was used along with Tagged with Love stamp and Charcoal Ink.  The Flower Children were colored in with Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers.

Baby Shower Card with Hillside Cottage Duck and Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch

The duck from Hillside Cottage is so adorable I used it for a baby shower card for a soon to arrive baby girl and her mom.  My card layout was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch #386 and also features Flamingo Ink, Scalloped Circle Thin Cut Die, zip strips from Blue Skies, pink shimmer paper by The Paper Cottage and a Quilted embossing folder by We R Memories.

Layered Butterflies Thank You Cards

The graphic at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie inspired my card colors and shape (the pink thank you cookie resembles a butterfly to me.)  The Layered Butterfly Thin Cut Die is from Close to My Heart along with the pink and rose foil paper from the recently retired You Are Enough paper pack.  The Thanks sentiment is from Honey Bee Bitty Buzzwords.  The bottom card stock color is Sangria.

I really liked my card design so I made another one in bluish green using a Pixie Sparkled panel with Glacier card stock on the bottom:

Anniversary Card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #429

Just Us Girls #592 Recycle Meets Retro Rubber Challenge #162

 I recently received a card with an awesome envelope liner that I saved to create a card with.  Just Us Girls #592 theme is "Recycle" and I paired it with the fabulous sketch from Retro Rubber #162.


Close to my Heart products used:

     Eat, Love, Play paper, Nectarine Card Stock, Lemonade Card StockWishing You Everything Balloon stamp and Thin Cut Die, Framed sentiment (August 2015)  The single embellishment was cut from the envelope liner with a 1/4" punch.

Blue Foil Layered Butterfly with Paper Craft Crew Sketch #434

Several weeks ago I was cutting a lot of Layered Butterflies and this one was waiting for a great sketch to feature it.  The blue foil paper is from Jot--a brand found in the Dollar Tree.


The background paper is from Recollections.  The 3 accents were cut with a 1/4" hole punch from Sapphire Glitter paper.  The greeting is from Get Well Soon--retired Close to my Heart.

Pixie Sparkled Panel for Freshly Made Sketch #493

Several weeks ago I was playing with Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles and created several backgrounds with different colors.  One of those panels is the central element of my card today adorned by Crafter's Companions butterflies (Spread Your Wings) stamped on Recollections Color Splash paper. This card is so sparkly in person!  The strips surrounding the panel are Lagoon Card Stock and the Get Well Soon greeting is from Alinacuttle (Create a Lovely Life).

Pixie Sparkled Butterflies with Sunday Stamps Sketch #260

If you've been following my blog lately you know that I've been having a lot of fun with Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles and have posted several cards recently.  (Just scroll down over the last 10 posts to see what else I've made with this great product.) Today I'm sharing a card I made following Sunday Stamps Sketch #260.


The focal butterflies are from Close to my Heart Layered Butterflies.  The sentiment is from Honey Bee Bitty Buzzwords Dies.  I edged the sentiment panel with a Spectrum Noir Black Alcohol Marker.

G is for Green Challenge Card at Alphabet Challenge

The recipient of this card is a fan of the color green.  The shimmery background was made with a new favorite in my craft stash--Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles.  You can check out other cards made with this unique product here, here, here and here.  This card is so sparkly in person! The large cover die is "It's Your Day" retired from Close to my Heart cut from Evergreen Card Stock.  The candle flames were colored with a gold Spectrum Noir metallic marker.

Anniversary Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #428

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week's sketch has 3 vertical strips, thin horizontal strip and an oval element.



Although it looks like I may have color blended the background strips I used a piece of paper from an old Recollections paper pack called Color Splash which has some wonderful ombre papers.  The oval frame is from a retired Close to my Heart stamp set called True Love and the greeting is from Say it All also retired CTMH.  The bottom paper is Sapphire and the ink color and small strip is Grape.

More Pixie Sparkles with Freshly Made Sketch #492

Several weeks ago I opened up my set of new Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles and went to work creating backgrounds. This product is much like Brushos or Color Bursts but also have lots of shimmer and some texture to it.  I'm using one of those shimmery panels as the focal piece of today's card.  You can see other pretty Pixie Sparkles cards here, here and here.  This card is so sparkly in person!



My card is 5" x 5" and has a Crafter's Companion Swirl Background Embossed panel, Evergreen Card Stock, Stitched Frame Thin Cuts, Cuttlebug Dragonfly Die from "Up in the Sky", Nuvo Crystal Glaze on Dragonflies, Sapphire Ink, Sapphire Card Stock and sentiment from retired Close to my Heart Balloon Animals.
