Serenity Cardmaking Preview with Case This Sketch #395

This lovely wreath is from Close to My Heart's November/December catalog.  It comes with a matching die that has cuts to lift up the leaves to reveal color underneath.  The stamp set is called Serenity Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cut Set and will be available on Sunday here. I think it works perfectly with this week's Case This Sketch #395.

Here is the fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout:

The soon to be released stamp set I used is here:

     Sage Ink
     Sage Cardstock
     Toffee Ink
     Ruby Ink (retired)
Summer Cloud Blue Ink Cardstock (retired)
Summer Cloud Blue Ink B & T paper (retired)

September Joyful Stars Blog Hop with Bloom and Grace Paper

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Joyce Gough's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

Close to my Heart has a new annual catalog and a new seasonal catalog that have just been released.  I have been having so much fun playing with the new Bloom and Grace sunflower patterned paper. (Sunflowers always remind me of my mom who used to decorate her kitchen and bathroom with that theme.) I made a flurry of cards and would love to know which ones you like best.

Card #1:

The dotted stripe is from the zip strip.  The sentiment is from Sentiments by Melissa Esplin with Espresso Ink.  I used an Earth Brown Tri-Blend marker to outline the sentiment panel.

Card #2:

The background patterned paper is from Lovely paper.  The fussy cut sunflowers were embellished with Lemonade Shimmer Brush and Toffee Shimmer Brush.  My card layout was inspired by a recent Global Designs Project sketch.

Card #3:

The sentiment is from Every Little Thing Cardmaking with Thin Cut Dies embossed in Copper Tinsel Embossing Powder and matted with Espresso Card Stock.  The center stripe is retired Copper Shimmer Trim.  I'm entering this card into the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge #387 which can be found here.

Card #4:

The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings and was stamped in Toffee Ink. Once again I used the Earth Brown Tri-Blend Marker to edge each of the paper pieces which are mounted on Fern Card Stock.  My card layout was inspired by this Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #474:

That's all for now with this beautiful paper!  Please leave me a comment with your favorite card noted.

Now it's time to head over to Joyce Hauck's blog --I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she has to share.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

New Home Welcome Card for Color Dare #394 Monochromatic Greens

It has been a long time since I've participated in a Color Dare challenge and I was inspired to join when I saw the Monochromatic Green challenge.  I made this card a few weeks ago for friends who moved into a home with a green door and shutters.

      Heart and Home stamp (retired)
      Lagoon Card Stock
      Black Embossing Powder
      Adventure Fundamentals 2017 Patterned Paper
      Clear Shimmer Brush
      Red TriBlend  Marker
      Light Green TriBlend Marker
      Toffee Ink for wreath

(Although this challenge requires no other colors except greens and neutrals, it just made sense to have the accent wreath in a different color than green so I hope my entry is not disqualified for this artistic license).

Here is the Color Dare challenge graphic.  Just click on it to get to the post where you can enter until Thursday, May 28th at 9PM CST.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
Make My Monday--Tone on Tone Background
      Not Just Cards--Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
