Sparkling Hexagons with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #473

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a square card with a vertical strip of hexagons (or whatever other element you choose) matted with contrasting paper, a sentiment in the lower right corner, and some small embellishments.  My card uses Mix-in Paper from May-June, Stitched Square Frame Thin Cut Die, hexagon stamp from very old Close to my Heart set called "Wicked", Birthday Greetings Stamp, Capri Ink, Versamark Ink, Irridescent Embossing powder, Holographic Foil Paper with 1/8" paper punch.

This second card angle shows off the sparkling embossing powder better.

More Pixie Sparkles with Freshly Made Sketch #492

Several weeks ago I opened up my set of new Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Sparkles and went to work creating backgrounds. This product is much like Brushos or Color Bursts but also have lots of shimmer and some texture to it.  I'm using one of those shimmery panels as the focal piece of today's card.  You can see other pretty Pixie Sparkles cards here, here and here.  This card is so sparkly in person!

My card is 5" x 5" and has a Crafter's Companion Swirl Background Embossed panel, Evergreen Card Stock, Stitched Frame Thin Cuts, Cuttlebug Dragonfly Die from "Up in the Sky", Nuvo Crystal Glaze on Dragonflies, Sapphire Ink, Sapphire Card Stock and sentiment from retired Close to my Heart Balloon Animals.

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch #492 that inspired my card layout:

Scandinavian Folk Art Greeting with Tuesday Morning Sketch #600

My card today was really quick to make following the fabulous Tuesday Morning Sketch.  I used some very old Close to My Heart paper called Star Spangled Blue Background and Texture Paper and the Scandinavian Folk Art sentiment stamp.  A Stitched Circle and Stitched Square Frame were used to frame the bold sentiment. This card will go to my husband for Father's Day.

The small circle embellishments were created by clear embossing Star Spangled Blue Card Stock and then using a regular hole punch.

The Scandinavian Folk Art Stamp Set is the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month which can be purchased for just $5 with a qualifying order of $50.
