Winter Penguin as the Star of CAS Colours and Sketch #401

Penguins are a lot of fun to watch and I recently acquired a new stamp set from Close to my Heart called "Winter Penguins".  The CAS Colours and Sketch challenge calls for a non-geometric focal point so I decided to use one of these penguin cuties for my card.

Close to My heart products used:

Winter Penguins, Sangria Card Stock, Sangria Ink, Lilac Card Stock, Embossing Pens, Dark Red Blend Tri-Blend Marker and Stitched Rectangle Frames Thin Cuts.

Other products:

Darice Snowflake Embossing Folder, Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder

Here is the fabulous CAS Colours and Sketches graphic that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
      Sweet Stampin'--Thank You
      Animal Friends Challenge--Penguins
Pearly Sparkles Challenge #58--Something Beginning with "P"
Crafty Gals Corner #215--Snow Much Fun
Heart 2 Heart--Out with the Old, In with the New

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

:) Marie

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #403 With Every Little Thing Cardmaking Stamps

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch has some vertical panels, a main focal image and several accents.  To stay more true to the sketch I trimmed back part of the frame stamped image from Every Little Thing Cardmaking set (currently on clearance here). Paper colors are Blue Belle (sprayed with gold metallic shimmer paint) and Sapphire.  The images were embossed with Versamark and Sapphire Ink and then sprinkled with Holographic Embossing Powder by Ranger. The flowers were colored with Avocado Shimmer Brush and Hydrangea Tri-Blend Marker.  The dark blue enamel dots are from Seas the Day.

Here is our fabulous sketch.  Our challenge remains open until Sunday evening, January 17 and you can link up your creation here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some "comment love".

I used Every Little Thing Cardmaking stamps to create the following cards more loosely based on the above sketch.

Which card do you like best?

I'm also linking these cards up to the following challenges:
     Addicted to CAS #188--Emboss
     Krafty Chicks Challenge #541--Stamp Act
Through the Craft Room Door--Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

:) Marie
