A Bunch of Love Condolence Card Again

It seems that I've needed quite a few sympathy cards recently and I've been reaching for my "A Bunch of Love" stamp and matching Thin Cut die.

This time I also added some "shimmer" by using Recollections Shimmer Champagne cardstock and Nuvo Crystal Drops Neptune on the round accents.  (I applied some Neptune drops onto Peacock CS and swiped across with an old plastic gift card.  When it dried I then used a 3/8" hole punch.)

     Peacock CS
     White Daisy CS
     Peacock Ink
     A Bunch of Love stamp
A Bunch of Love Thin Cut
     Sincere Expressions stamp
     Whisper Ink

Other products:
     Prismacolor pencils
     Recollections Shimmer Champagne CS
     Nuvo Crystal Drops--Neptune
We R Memory Keepers Wave embossing folder

You can go here and here to see some other Sympathy cards I made with this stamp and Thin Cut die.

My card layout was based on this wonderful Tuesday Morning Sketch #357:

I'm also entering this card into the Simon Says challenge to add some Shimmer,  Can You Case it favorite die challenge and Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies.

Color Dare #193 Meets Retrosketches #214

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge post!  This week we are challenging you to use all and only  the colors from the Close to My Heart paper pack called Georgie:  Canary, Champagne, Juniper, Slate, Whisper and White Daisy.

My card began with the Doodled Designs circle stamped in all the challenge colors minus White Daisy.  The daisy is from Friend in Me which was in the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog.  It was stamped twice and the top daisy was fussy cut and slightly curled up.  The Canary Ink sponged flower center (and tiny Doodled Design stamps) were "glossed" with Liquid Glass.

     White Daisy CS

     Juniper Ink

I'm also entering this card into the Seize the Birthday challenge. Here is the Retrosketch that I followed to make this card:

White Daisy and Whisper for Color Dare #130

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge post!  This week we are challenging you to use just two colors:  White Daisy and Silver (or Whisper).  I decided to use the new Close to My Heart Scallop embossing folder to create my background.

How did I do this?  I applied Whisper ink pad directly to the folder and pressed down.  (I did NOT run it through the Cuttlebug machine).  As you can see I used both sides of the folder to create more interest.

Close to My Heart products used:
     Whisper CS
     White Daisy CS
You Mean the World to me stamp
     Whisper Ink
White Daisy Ink to edge Whisper frame
     Sponge Dauber
     3D Foam Tape
Scallop Embossing Folder (from Seasonal Expressions catalog)

Other
     Silver Holographic Curling Ribbon

Now it's your turn to create using these colors.

Head on over to the Color My Heart Color Dare blog and see what the rest of the fabulous Design Team has created.  Hope you can join us for this challenge.  Use a direct link to link up your papercrafted creation (it doesn't have to be a card).

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

One Layer Card for Color Dare #123 and Stampin' Royalty #259

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge post.  This is the final one for 2014 and you'll have two weeks to post your creation.  The challenge colors are New England Ivy and Ruby--it makes me think "holiday card" so that's what I made:

I challenged myself to make a one layer card (this is NOT my usual style!) to meet the Stampin' Royalty challenge also.  The To You and Yours stamp set images were inked with New England Ivy ink and then "smudge colored" with Q-tips and New England Ivy ink and Ruby ink as these are the challenge for the Color Dare.  To get the ink to color with the Q-tips I stamped ink onto an acrylic block and spritzed with water.   A retired Whisper Alcohol Marker was used to outline all the stamped images and White Wink of Stella was applied to create the leaf veins and highlight the berries and cardinal feathers.  I love the gentle shimmer that this brush pen creates.  There is a drop of Liquid Glass on the cardinal's eye.  The background was stamped with Whisper Ink and a very old CTMH wood stamp called "Stoneware Texture".

Close To My Heart products used:
     White Daisy CS
To You and Yours stamp set
     New England Ivy Ink
     Ruby Ink
     Liquid Glass
     Whisper Ink
     Stoneware Texture stamp (retired)

Other products:

Card challenges entered:
     Stampin' Royalty #259--One Layer Card
     The Male Room--Christmas theme
     Addicted to Stamps Challenge--anything goes

Now it's your turn to play with these fun holiday colors!  If you don't have these exact colors you may substitute similar colors and you may also combine them with neutrals such as black, white, tans, and greys.  Please visit our the Color My Heart Color Dare blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created and then link up your papercrafted creation with a direct link here.  Hope to see you in our gallery!   The deadline is Thursday evening, January 1, 2015 at 9PM CT.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!
