Atlantic Hearts Challenge #365

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week we are challenging you to use various paper strips with an embellished focal sentiment.  We hope you will find a chance to join in on the fun!  You can link up your card here.

Image may contain: text

I made two cards for this challenge.  My first card uses several strips from Close to my Heart's Stitched Together Paper (available May 1) with Smoothie and Sapphire Card Stocks, Sapphire Ink, and Say it In Style stamp.  The ladybug and flowers were fussy cut from Stitched Together paper and then glittered with the Clear Shimmer Brush.

My second card uses a sheet of Every Little Thing paper cut in 4 strips over Mint Card Stock. The sentiment is a very old Stampendous stamp (1994!) and the hearts were die cut from Julep Glitter paper.

Which card do you like better?

I'm entering these cards into the following challenges:

Easter Card with MFT Sketch Challenge #483

Recently I purchased this lovely Calla Lily and Die Cut stamp set from Local King Rubber Stamps.  I've made several Easter cards with this image to send to family and friends.

The image was colored with Dull Green and outlined with Ice Grey Tri Blend Spectrum Noir Markers.  The insides of the Calla Lilies were brushed with a Clear Shimmer Brush and the pistils were colored with Liquid Pearls Buttercup.  The background paper is Wisteria Card Stock from Close to My Heart and the sentiment strip is Sweet Leaf Card Stock.  The White Daisy Card Stock panel was hand cut using the edge of a circle die cut to trace the top of it. I used the Dull Green marker to "edge" it.  The Happy Easter greeting is from a retired Close to My Heart stamp set called Just to Say from the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection.
