Congratulations Card with Freshly Made Sketch #738

A very special young lady just found out she was accepted into Physician's Assistant school so I made her this fun froggy card to commemorate the achievement. I chose Freshly Made Sketch #738 which features varied size thin strips behind a square. The jubilant frog and congratulatory greeting is from Kokarosa's Happy Cartoon Frog set.

This second photo shows how shimmery the green cardstock is along with the shiny black embossing on the frog and sentiment.

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made sketch that inspired my card layout:

I’m also entering this card into the following challenges:

      Dragonfly Dreams--May--Use Diecuts

We Love Stamping--All Creatures Great and Small

      Simon Says Wednesday-- Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Two Gator Cards with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #614

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a horizontal layout with 2 vertical stripes on the left, a round focal point with sentiment on the right and embellishments behind the focal frame.  My cards started with a Stampin Up "Jungle Pals" stamped image which was colored with "Fake Plant Lunar Paste".  The background paper is Close to my Heart Julep.  The embellishments from the Birthday Card were fussy cut from Close to my Heart "Deck the Palms" paper and the sentiment is from a Kokarosa stamp set called "Happy Cartoon Frogs".

My second card also features "Deck the Palms" paper as the vertical stripes, gold Sizzix leaf dies, and a sentiment from Close to my Heart "Stronger Together" which was gold embossed over Evergreen Card Stock.

Which card do you like better?

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, February 2 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. I’m also entering these cards into the following challenges:
