Baby Boy Card With Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch and Twinkling H2O Paints

This colorful baby card was created with an old Close to My Heart wooden stamp called "For Baby" which was embossed with Outdoor Denim embossing powder and then painted with African Jade, Yellow Rose and Heavenly White Twinkling H2O paints.

Here is a close up so you can see how shimmery the Twinkling H2O paints are:

The blue footprint vellum paper is from Recollections and the solid blue panel is retired Close to My Heart Heavenly Blue.  Retired CTMH Outdoor Denim cardstock is the background panel for the focal image.

My card layout was inspired by this fabulous Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #239

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  We would love to have you join us.  The United States Thanksgiving holiday is tomorrow so my card reflects that:

The sparkling pumpkin diecut was made with glitter paper from DCWV backed with New England Ivy CS.  The soft orange colored paper is Tangerine from the Adventure Fundamentals Paper Pack and the border paper is discontinued Barn Red.  The greeting was a very old Close to My Heart "woody" stamped in Barn Red ink.  The pumpkin banner was cut from the Cricut Thanksgiving cartridge and the side panel border was cut from the Bakery Fresh image from the Family Album Cricut cartridge.

Here is the fabulous Atlantic Hearts sketch I followed to make this card:

Our challenge runs until Sunday evening, November 26.  We look forward to visiting your blogs to see your lovely interpretation of this classic sketch.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Welcome back to another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog post.  This fortnight we are challenging you to take out your Cricut and create a Thanks orThanksgiving card!  We are being sponsored by the FCCB Team who is donating a $25 Amazon Gift card!

I used the Thanksgiving cartridge (in Access subscription) to write the sentiment and cut out the pumpkin and flourish.  A cricut copper metallic marker was used to write and a Nuvo Orange Glitter Marker was used to color in the leaves and the pumpkin.

Here is my Design Space file if you would like to recreate my card.  We would love to see what you create with a cricut image.  Check out what the rest of the fabulous Design Team has to inspire you here.

November Joyful Stars Blog Hop with You Are Here Cricut Cartridge

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Joyce Hauck's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is also on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

My cards were made with the latest Close to My Heart cricut cartridge called "You Are Here".    I also used the Artbooking cartridge to cut the Eggplant cardstock frame.  The background panel is Flaxen cardstock and the cut image is New England Ivy cardstock.  The greeting is from the Thoughtful Bird stamp set.  Sponge Daubers were used to color the White Daisy cardstock with Cranberry, Sorbet, Eggplant, Sweet Leaf and Tangerine inks.

This card was easy enough to make so I made a second one and colored the fruits in with Shin Han Touch Markers--Carmine, Marigold, Lavender, Leaf Green and Golden Yellow.  I created this in Design Space--here is the file if you would like to replicate it.

Which coloring method do you like better?

Now it's time to hop on over to Betty Locco's blog. I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she shares.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Archiscraps--Use Fruit
     Sparkles Forum Challenges--Autumn Colors
     Little Red Wagon--Harvest Time
     Wonderful Wednesdays--Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Here is the fabulous Atlantic Hearts sketch.  We would love to see how it inspires you to create!  You have until Sunday evening, November 12 to link up to us here.

Color Dare #268 Meets Try Stampin' on Tuesday #345

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog post!  This week we are challenging you to use the following exclusive Close to My Heart colors:  Fern, New England Ivy, Almond, Cranberry, White Daisy with optional gold.  Of course, if you don't have these Close to My Heart colors yet, you may substitute similar colors so you can still join in on the fun.

The base panel is Almond, the striped paper is from Adventure Fundamentals, the horizontal stripe is New England Ivy with Fern on top.  The wreath was stamped in New England Ivy ink with Fern sponged over it.  The sentiment is from the Fairytale Birthday stamp set inked in Cranberry.  I did choose to use "optional gold".  Here is a closeup so you can see how I used the Metallic Gold marker to color the leaves.

Here is the Color My Heart Color Dare graphic.  Just click on it to get to the challenge site where you can be inspired by other wonderful creations made by our fabulous Design Team.
