This card is for a very special young lady who loves the color purple.  The big, bold sentiment is from the upcoming Close to My Heart February Stamp of the Month called Sunny Thoughts which will be available starting Thursday, February 1.  I cut pennants with Design Space and found this interesting accent in the Home Accents cartridge (available in Access subscription).  The card size is 6.5" wide by 5 inches high.

     Sunny Thoughts stamp set
     White Glitter paper
     Pansy pigment ink
     Clear embossing powder
     Rose Embossing Folder

My card layout was inspired by this fabulous Freshly Made Sketch #321:

Color Dare #277--Chelsea Gardens Tic Tac Toe

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog post!  I'm really excited to share a new type of game for our Color Dare challenge.  The last challenge of every month we will be featuring a "Tic Tac Toe" board for you to choose your challenge colors from.   In January we have been featuring colors from the Chelsea Gardens paper pack and thus our challenge board features these pretty colors.  You must use and identify the three colors in a row of your choice with your entry.  You may also add any or all of the other colors from the Tic-Tac-Toe board but you may not add any additional colors NOT on the board.   Here is our first Tic Tac Toe challenge board:

No automatic alt text available.

My card was created with the Middle Column--Heather, White Daisy and Glacier.  I also added Black, Juniper and Mink that are also on the challenge board.

Chelsea Gardens paper (Glacier patterned paper)
     Heather CS
     White Glitter Paper

My card was inspired by this fabulous Sunday Stamps sketch:

I'm also sharing my card with the following challenges:

It's time for another Fantabulous Cricut Challenge!  This fortnight the challenge is Snow!  I've seen quite a bit of it lately so I chose to feature just one lovely snowflake on my card.

The snowflake cut is from Anna's Seasonal Soirees (Access subscription) and the greeting is from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy (now retired).  The glittery blue papers are from Core'dinations and the red glitter paper is from Bazzill.  The white glitter paper is from Recollections (at Michael's).  The white dots on the letters were made with Nuvo Crystal Drops White Gloss.  The letters were attached to a vellum strip before attaching it over the sparkling snowflake.

My card layout was inspired by this Case This Sketch graphic:

Using Distress Oxide Inks for the Paper Players Challenge #376

It was a snowy day so I had some extra time in my craft room today to make this card for The Paper Players Challenge #376.

This next picture was taken from a different angle so you can see the shimmery leaves from the Close to My Heart Clear Shimmer Brush.

I used a window frame that I had created in Design Space a few weeks ago and cut another window from craft foam to pop it up.  The background was created with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink and a little spritz of water.  The window panel was sponged with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink and the leaves were cut from paper inked with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink.  The stamped and diecut leaves are from the Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cut Die set.  The Birthday greeting is from a retired CTMH set called "Card Chatter--Birthday" and was stamped in Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink.

Here is the challenge graphic from the Paper Players:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:
     Simon Says Wednesday--Add a Sentiment
     Craftaholics R Us--Anything Goes

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #247 3 Ways

Have you been inspired to create something using this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch yet?  I created 3 cards off this one fabulous sketch!  The first card uses recycled cellophane under a window panel I created in Design Space with Close to My Heart colors Pomegranate and Bashful.

This picture was shot from a different angle so you can see how shimmery the butterfly is with the application of the Close to My Heart Clear Shimmer Brush.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Thoughts.

Since I had already created the window panel in Design Space I decided to experiment with some brighter colors.  The three vertical panels were inlaid into the contrasting window frame.  (If you would like to use my Design Space file go here.) The floral paper is from the Adventure Fundamentals paper pack and the blue is Sapphire card stock.  The bow in the first card is from the Ribbon Border Thin Cut Die and the flower and greeting are from the Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking Stamp Set.
The sketch was rotated 90 degrees to create my last card using this sketch.  The Chelsea Gardens flowers were stamped on Raspberry card stock and then brushed with White Wink of Stella.  The sentiment is from the Happy Heart stamp set.  Glossy White Nuvo Crystal Drops were applied to the flower centers.

I would love to know which card you like best--you can leave me a comment down below.

Here is the fabulous Atlantic Hearts Sketch that inspired all 3 of my cards:

The challenge will remain open until Sunday evening, January 21 at 9PM ET.  We would love to see how you are inspired to create with this great sketch!

Freshly Made Sketch # 319 with Holographic Dreams Paper

Here is a quick birthday card I made with some brand new (to me) holographic paper (Holographic Dream by Craft Smith) using the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch #391:

The next photo was taken from a different angle so you can see different shades of the beautiful holographic paper:

The solid colored card stocks are Sapphire and Willow from Close to My Heart and the Birthday greeting is a retired CTMH stamp set called "Just a Number".  The sentiment was black embossed onto silver metallic paper from the Paper Cut and raised with 3M Foam Tape.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

      Simon Says Wednesday--Patterned Paper
Shopping Our Stash--Out with  Old, In with                   New

Color Dare #275--Fern, Heather, Bashful with Option of Gold

Welcome back to another Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog post!  This week we are inviting you to see what you can do with these Close to My Heart colors:  Fern, Heather, Bashful with an option of Gold.  You have 2 weeks to try these colors out and share them with us.  Of course, if you don't have these Close to My Heart Colors yet you can substitute similar colors so you can still play along.

My card features Basics Fundamentals paper (Heather floral background) and Enchantment Fundamentals paper (Fern striped panel) with butterfly stamped and cut from Bashful paper with the new Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking Stamp and Thin Cuts set.  I "fussy cut" the butterfly so that when I used the Thin Cut for the Gold Foil butterfly it would create a nice shadow for it.  The three gold embellishments were cut from Gold Foil with a 1/4" hold punch.  A Gold Metallic pen was used to color in the "Happy" letters.

This photo was taken from a different angle so you can see how shiny that Gold Foil paper is!

Chelsea Gardens Mini Calendar With Design Space File

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Debi Brile's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

The holidays have been a very enjoyable and busy time!  I've been creating many things and now able to share them on my blog.  One of the gifts that I gave to all my family members and some friends is a mini desktop calendar that I created in Design Space with my Cricut Explore machine.

The beautiful background paper is the new Chelsea Gardens paper from Close to My Heart with the charcoal dotted stripe from the Basics Fundamental Paper Pack.

Here is another version using Bashful Glitter Paper and the same Basics paper.

I purchased the mini calendars from Taylored Expressions.  (You could also print out a calendar page, cut it out and staple the top edges to the easel frame.) The greeting was written with a Cricut pen by the Explore machine.  Here is my Design Space file if you would like to try to make one.

Now it's time to hop on over to Michelle Loncar's blog. I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she shares.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #246

Our new sketch features stripes within stripes--how will you interpret this card layout?  You have until Monday evening, January 14 to share your creation with us here.

Color Dare #274--Bashful, Glacier, Charcoal and Optional Silver

Welcome back to the first Color My Heart Color Dare challenge of 2018!  This year our challenges will involve fewer colors with Black and White Daisy included.  Our color palette for Color Dare #274 is Bashful, Glacier, Charcoal with Silver as an option.  I used Close to My Heart's January Stamp of the Month "Bloom and Grow" as my focal image.  It was stamped in Charcoal Ink onto Bashful Cardstock and then the leaves were painted with Glacier ink.  Silver foil cardstock was used as the background stripe.

My card layout was inspired by this Freshly Made Sketch:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #245

Happy New Year!  Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!   We have a wonderful sketch for you to try this week.  Nine squares on a rectangular card--how will you interpret it?  I chose to create a window in Design Space with a piece of rose cellophane wrap that held my last set of roses.  Yes, I saved it because it could be useful in my cardmaking even though my boyfriend wanted to throw it out.

Here is the rose patterned cellophane that I've recycled to create this card:

Products used:
     Rose patterned cellophane wrap
     Bashful CS
     White Daisy CS
     Memento Black Ink
Say it All stamps (retired Close to my Heart)
1" Foam Brush to distress white cardstock edges.
Design Space to create window--file shared here

Here is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch that inspired my card layout:
