Floral Note Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #565

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a striped top border with 2 slim horizontal stripes, an assortment of banners and a large floral element spread over the top.  This is just a starting point and you can interpret this any way you see fit.  My card features Close to my Heart Mix-in Paper from July--August 2023 and a floral die (unknown source). Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, February 25 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Masculine Get Well Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #441

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog  post!  This week our sketch featuresa split background with central panel and an embellishment.  One of my male friends was recently hospitalized so I wanted to make him a special card using some new Close to my Heart products.

This next photo was taken from a different angle so you can see how sparkly the embossing is.  This effect was created by first inking with Versamark Ink and then Harbour Ink.  Much older CTMH Polysparkle Tinsel Embossing Powder was then heat embossed.

Freshly Made Sketch #466 was used to create this sparkly card using a recent gift to myself of Close to my Heart's Thanks Thin Cut Dies.  The patterned paper is from Mix-in Paper. The background die cut is from Recollections Antique Gold Shimmer paper.  The top layer of die cut and side panels came from scraps from a gold holographic poster sheet that I had saved from years ago when I was creating gift boxes.

Series of Christmas Cards with Freshly Made Sketch #464

I really liked this week's Freshly Made Sketch #464 so I used it to create several Christmas cards. First I stamped Merry Christmas Trimmings with Evergreen or Intense Black Ink and colored the background with Light Green Blend Marker and Dark Red Blend Markers and laminated them. The papers came from Comfort and Joy, Mix-in November--December 2019 and November-December 2020. Evergreen Card Stock and Candy Apple Card Stock papers were used as mats. The cards are being displayed in the order in which I made them.  I would really like to know which you like best.

30th Birthday Card in Greens

A special young lady will turn 30 soon and I used the opportunity to create a card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #351. Her favorite color is green and this inspired my paper choices.

The greeting is actually quite sparkly.  First I inked the stamp in Versamark Ink and then Evergreen Ink.  Then I used a very old Close to My Heart Embossing Powder called "Polysparkle Tinsel" to create the sparkled image as you can see in this second picture.

      Evergreen CS
      Green Apple CS
      Julep CS
      Julep Glitter Paper
      Mix-In Zip Strip
      Birthday Greetings
Party Balloons with Thin Cut Dies (retired)

M Folded Cards for Joyful Stars January Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Lori Meadows blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

After the holidays were over I had some time to just peruse shared cards on Pinterest and I was intrigued by a new (to me) card fold I found here and decided to try making a few with Close to My Heart products.

My first card started with a 5.5" x 11" sheet of White Daisy sheet scored at 1.25", 4" and 6.75".  I then glued pieces of Every Little Thing patterned paper and zip strips along with the Wisteria dotted paper from last season's Mix-In Paper.

The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings and I used the Stitched Circle Thin Cut Dies and Basic Circle Thin Cut Dies to frame it. The stars were inked with Wisteria and the greeting was embossed in Black.

My second card started with a 5.5" x 11" sheet of Every Little Thing paper and Wisteria and White Daisy panels added.  The sentiment is from the January Stamp of the Month called Everyday Magic.

Here are the fabulous stamps included in the January Stamp of the month:

S2001: Everyday Magic, set of 17

I'm also sharing these cards with the following challenges:
Paper Players--Something New (card fold technique)
Heart 2 Heart--Try Something New (card fold technique)
Always Fun--Something New (card fold technique)
Get Creative--Something New (card fold technique)
Simon Says Monday--Something New (card fold technique)
    Seize the Birthday #180--Layer It

Now it's time to head over to Nancy Brown's blog --I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she has to share.

Trio of Poinsettias with Fusion Card Challenge

My card follows the current Fusion Card Challenge sketch:

Years ago I purchased glittery poinsettia paper and I fussy cut these flowers to layer them on top of shimmery yellow stitched circles (Solar Yellow Metallic paper from the Paper Cottage).  The poinsettia flower centers were embellished with Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops.  The greeting is an old (maybe 7-8 years old, perhaps older) Close to My Heart stamp called "A Holiday" and was embossed with Red Tinsel Embossing Powder.  The background paper is from this Mix-In Paper Packet.

Here is the fabulous Fusion Card Challenge sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also linking this card creation to the following challenges:
Cardz 4 Gals--Get Ready for Christmas
     Ellibelles' Crafty Wednesday--Christmas/Holidays
