June Joyful Stars Blog Hop with Brushed and a Budding Friendship

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Betty Locco's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

Close to my Heart has brought pack a lovely old paper pack called Brushed and a pair of stamp sets to coordinate with them.  (These are available for a limited time only.)

My cards were inspired by three different sketch challenges and I will list the sketch directly underneath each card.

This first card was inspired by Sunday Stamps Sketch #232.
The cardstock colors are Black, Lemonade, Candy Apple and Green Apple.  The patterned paper is from the featured paper pack "Brushed".  The small floral stamp and greeting are from "A Budding Friendship".

Here is the fabulous Sunday Stamps sketch that inspired my card layout:

My second card was inspired by Stick it Down June 2020 sketch.  The background card stocks are White Daisy and Pixie.  The yellow floral patterned paper is from "Brushed" and it is matted with Green Apple Card Stock.  The flower from "A Budding Friendship" was stamped on Candy Apple and Green Apple card stocks with Intense Black Ink.  The "Say it in Style" sentiment was embossed on vellum and cut with a retired Thin Cut Banner die.   The flower was brushed with a Clear Shimmer Brush and Julep Gems accent the four corners of the card.

My last card was based on the Case the Designer challenge at Global Design Project.#244.  I really liked the cut away front panel that reveals a different paper lining the inside.  The patterned papers are also from "Brushed".  The flower was stamped onto Lemonade Card Stock and brushed with a Peach Shimmer Brush.  The flower center was accented with Golden Rod Stickles.  The leaves were stamped on Evergreen Card Stock.

This is another view so you can see that the top panel is narrower than the entire card.

This is the Global Design Project graphic that inspired the above card:

Which card do you like best?  Please feel free to leave me a comment below.
