Liebster Blog Award!

Close To My Heart Consultants Rock! One of my CTMH sisters, who I’ve never met or even corresponded with before has honored me with the Liebster Blog award. Apparently she was inspired by a CTMH bulletin board post about making a tissue box cover (and subsequently checking out my blog) which is my previous post.
I received this award from Terry Diack. Terry has a beautiful blog full of creative ideas and I truly appreciate her recognition. What a nice surprise this was!

I have been blogging and sharing my cardmaking artwork on the CTMH bulletin board since September of 2010 (although I have been a CTMH consultant since August 1996!). After creating a project and taking the time to photograph, describe and post it on my blogsite I’ve wondered how many people have actually noticed or appreciated the effort that goes into the process. This award is confirmation for me that my efforts are worthwhile although the primary reason why I create cards and share them is because it pleases ME! I have learned so much from others from the CTMH bulletin board and reading blogs and it is nice to know that I’ve made a contribution to inspire others also.

I have seen this award on other blogs from time to time and often wondered what it meant and how to get it. I am honored to receive this award and now I have the fun of passing it on to 5 others. I have had fun looking at blogs and deciding who to pass the awards on to next. This award is to recognize blogs that have fewer than 200 followers.

I found this little bit of information about the Liebster blog award requirements from Karen Day’s blog and have copied from it here:

Here are the rules to accept this award:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
5. And most of all - have fun!

How did I make my selections? I went back to the CTMH bulletin board and looked for frequent contributors whose artwork had inspired me. I then checked out their blogs to see if they had already received this award or if they had fewer than 200 followers. (I would have chosen Karen Day whose artwork is amazing but she received one in December 2011 so I’m selecting someone else in her place). There are so many talented CTMH consultants who deserve this award I am sorry to have to limit it to 5.
Here are my selections:

Carol Horton: I consider Carol to be the “Cricut Queen” as she so generously gives her time to answer numerous cricut questions on the Cricut Board. She posts everything from cards, layouts, cricut items and business promotions. Thank you Carol for all you do to help and inspire others! Please congratulate her and check out her blog here.

Paige Dolecki: I’ve selected Paige because I love her artwork! She shares frequently with others on the CTMH artwork bulletin board and has made some really unusual items. She has also volunteered her time and talent to design for Heart2Heartchallenges.blogspot.com where many CTMH consultants play along. Here is one of my recent favorites that Paige has created. Thank you Paige for inspiring me and others! Congratulations on your award!

Pamela O’Connor: I’ve selected Pamela because I love her artwork! She recently posted a cricut cut Purse Card gift set that is so adorable. She even included a Cricut Craft Room Cut File—that is very useful! Here is a link to that post. Thank you Pamela for all you do to inspire me and others! Congratulations on your award!

Kathy Skipper: I’ve selected Kathy because I love her artwork! The piece that most impressed me is her tutorial on using CTMH collage blocks to make a Magic Photo Cube Video which can be found here: This is definitely on my list of projects to make! She has also taken the time to create 5 other really fun video tutorials. Thank you Kathy for your clever projects and for so freely sharing them with others! Congratulations on your award!

Tracey Sanders: I’ve selected Tracey because I so enjoyed her Art Philosophy cricut creations! Her blog contains many clever holiday uses from the AP cartridge. My favorite post of hers was making candy cane toppers and it can be found here.
Although she hasn’t posted anything in a while I still remember how impressed I was with her creations. Thank you Tracey for your inspiration and congrats on your award!

If any of you fabulous ladies cannot accept this award please contact me at mflayer@comcast.net and I will have to select a new recipient. I wish you all continued success in your crafting and hope that you have as much fun as I did in passing on this award.
Hugs  Marie
