Belated Birthday Card with Atlantic Heart Sketch #539

 Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a grid with a square in the center.  Multiple rectangle frames were cut with bright colored paper to create the background with inset pieces.  The turtle image and sentiment came from the "Turtley Awesome" set.

Daisy Themed Thank You Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #537

 Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a background panel with a grid, various inner elements and a sentiment panel.  My card background grid was cut with an older Close to my Heart Stitched Rectangle Frame Thin Cut die which had 12 squares.  I cut some of the cross pieces to create a similar grid to our challenge graphic.  The small daisy stamp came from the Friendship Daisy stamp set.  The sentiment is from "You Got This" stamp set (Close to my Heart--about 5 years old) and the center panel is a piece of recycled ribbon.

Slimline Get Well Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #535

 Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a slimline layout with a center sentiment strip and embellishments behind it.  My card uses paper from the Melon Mania special, Melon Ink, Melon Card Stock, Melon Flowers, diecuts from Cheerful Daisies (SU) colored with alcohol markers and sentiment from retired Close to my Heart stamp set "Get Well Soon".

Playing with Lunar and Solar Paste with Freshly Made Sketch #595

Recently I purchased a few jars of Simon Hurley's Lunar Paste and Solar Paste and used them with Close to my Hearts' Sprigs and Leaves Embossing Folder and Stencils to create this card.  First I stenciled Fake Plant Solar Paste for green leaves and Golden Hour Solar Paste for small leaves and shading on Sage Card Stock.  The pastes were applied with a foam applicator brush.  Next I used the Embossing folder to create even more texture.  Gold metallic card stock was used to mat the focal circle and leaf panel.

This second photo was taken with a different angle so that the shiny metallic gold could be featured.

Glittery Daisies Birthday Card with Sketch Saturday #729

 Years ago I purchased this glittery white daisy and pink background paper (Cloud 9) and decided to use it in today's project.  I didn't want to totally cover up the middle section so I stamped and clear embossed with Polysparkle Tinsel on vellum to keep the pretty daisies in view.  The bold sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Best Year Yet stamp set. While I was at it, I made two cards varying the background mat.

Swan Lake Birthday Card with Freshly Made Sketch #593

 When I saw this week's Freshly Made Sketch #593 I started going through my paper stash to feature a patterned paper I had never used.  The paper I selected was from the Close to my Heart Swan Lake collection.  The sentiment stamp I used is a very old wooden stamp (circa 1990's).

True Love Birthday Cards with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #531

 Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a vertical layout with a split panel.  The top half has a diagonal striped element, a plain bottom element with a sentiment strip in the middle with both a large sentiment and a small sentiment..  There is a vertical embellishment on the right side of the card.  Using the colors from the True Love (retired Close to my Heart) paper pack I selected coordinating colors (Mint, Ballerina, Eggplant, New England Ivy) and made two cards.  The sentiment is from "Finding the Words" (retired Close to my Heart).

Turtley Awesome Card with Freshly Made Sketch #591

I recently completed Kendra's Card Challenge #10 and 3 of the cards I made use the same sketch layout as this week's Freshly Made Sketch #591.  The papers are from Close to my Heart Four Seasons--Summer paper pack (no longer available) and the adorable stamps are from "Turtley Awesome Stamps and Thin Cut Dies".  Spectrum Noir markers were used to color the turtles and presents.

New Grandparents Congratulations Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #529

Father's Day Card with Try Stampin' on Tuesday #609

I'm making Father's Day Cards for some special people and was inspired by Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #609 to make my first card.  The products used are all retired from Close to my Heart (Dotty for You paper, Pear card stock and ink, Greetings to You wood stamp) with the exception of the acetate butterfly and chunky glitter on the butterfly's body.
